- ETHAN -
I jogged away from her house wondering what she was thinking. Weirdly enough I had a funny feeling in my stomach. What was it? It couldn't be no it couldn't. I don't have butterflies from just thinking about her. Do I? Anyway I don't want to get to attached, wait wait I didn't know I was already attached.
"Ah!" I sighed out loud, trying to make sense of the amazing night I just had.
So what should the date be a dinner, bowling, a movie?
"Hmm." I grumbled aloud.
Got it! A picnic at the beach, we can watch the sunset and go for a swim, then towel off and eat some food. Wait, do you think she will think it is too soon? Nah, all in or nothing. I arrived home and slumped onto the couch trying to puzzle together what was going through my mind. Jamie my sister, 1 year younger than me came in with a tub of ice-cream and two spoons.
"I heard you come in and you sounded sad. So I thought we could both eat away our troubles." She smiled. I accepted the other and started devouring the cookies and cream connoisseur icecream.
"Wait, wait, wait...Why are you eating your troubles?" I observed.
"I just wanted ice-cream." She confessed with a smile on her face.
We both laughed.
"So tell me what teenage problems you're having now...Girls?" She hinted.
"Your basically the same age as me." I snapped back.
"I know...but you have more girl problems than I do... boys. So shoot, get it all off your chest."
Sisters are the best, they know what a girl thinks and they have good advice. So maybe she can help.
"Ok, so I met this girl tonight. Her name's Lulu. She's funny and beautiful. But I met her under some unfortunate circumstances." I started the story with uncertainty as to how Jamie would react.
"Yeah... and?" She demanded.
"It turned out that she had just broken up with her boyfriend...that night."
"So you were like the rebound guy?"
"Don't rub it in. I already know."
"So what else happened?"
"We were dancing and kissed. Yeah don't get to weird." I said talking about her weird faces she was pulling.
"Anyway so as we were kissing, her drunk ex boyfriend turned up and started a fight. He didn't hit me successfully even though he tried but due to his drunkness I hit him quite bad. Lulu then took me into the kitchen and that's when I found out I was a rebound. I told her that girls always think of me as something they can throw away. So she said 'what about we go on a date and see what happens'."
All this time Jamie was nodding very eager to hear the rest of the details.
"I agreed and then we danced the night away, luckily by the time we got back from the kitchen Mason had gone, by the way that's her ex boyfriend. But then I walked her home. It resulted in me kissing her and then basically running away. Obviously I said bye. But I pretty much ran away. So I have no idea what she is thinking or feeling."
"Hmm" I mumbled to myself, whilst taking a big scoop of ice-cream out of the tub.
"Look, I think the thing you have to do is remind yourself the feelings that you are having are probably recipricated but she is thinking over the night the same as you. Probably worse. Girls think of the little things that happened and let our minds go crazy about them. Just stay calm and get a good nights sleep, then tomorrow plan this date for her. But now your brain is in overdrive and needs to rest." Jamie easily responsed.
In that moment I thought having a sister isn't so bad after all.
I took one more spoonful of ice-cream, hugged Jamie goodnight and went upstairs to get ready for bed. I put the toothpaste on my toothbrush, washed my face, changed into my pyjamas and jumped into bed. Before switching off my side light, I thought of what is to come with Lulu and then I dozed off. Only to awake at 2 am because of the shining bright light that my lamp produced. I switched it off and lay my head back on my pillow, almost immediatley falling back to sleep.

"Goodmorning, sunshine. You look like a wreck." I admitted to Lulu as we awaited for our Starbucks orders.
"Shh! My head is still pounding from last night, plus my feet our killing me how much did I dance?"
"You were dancing like Nicki Minaj went into overdrive."
We both exchanged laughs as we both knew it was true.
"One order for a caramel macchiato and one raspberry blackcurant blended juice." The waitor called out.
"Yeah, here thanks."
"Your welcome."
We both found a table and took a seat.
"So what happened last night with Mason, I heard you two broke up sorry I couldn't get to ask you about it due to you being occupied with another love interest...Ethan?" I asked inquistivley.
"Oh yeah. I caught Mason cheating on me with Mia. So I called it quits then I went to Cygnet's party and met Ethan who I ended up agreeing to go on a date with. I'm excited as we had a really good time last night and he can make me laugh and also gets my funny not funny jokes." She seemed to like this boy.
"Yeah so what happened with you, I saw you making out with Sebastian?" She asked me curiously.
"Oh yeah, one time fling nothing more. But I have to tell you something."
"Please don't tell me it has something to do with Mason?"
"Well it kinda does." I responsed with an uncertain expression.
"What?! Good news or bad news."
"Bad. When Casey and I were catching the bus we saw Mason and Mia.. but we didn't want to tell you over the phone. So we were going to tell you at Cygnet's party."
"Look don't worry about, now I know and don't have to spend anymore time with him. Wait, wait, wait is that why you guys didn't want me to go to the bus stop. Good friends you are." She laughed.
"Yeah and i'm glad you don't overact like some would." I replied with relief of what could have been.
"Well that's me!" She laughed trying to hide her emotions but deep down I know she cares about him even after this. I hope Ethan can make her happy again.
We sat in peaceful silence, slurping our drinks and reading celebrity magazines. Big Brother news was heating up after a cheating scandal between two of the housemates. We then made our way to Westfield were we shopped for some new summer clothing. It was nearing 7 pm when we finished shopping. So we said our goodbyes.
"Bye Lulu. Go and have fun with Ethan tomorrow. Tell me how it goes!!" I commanded.
"Yeah, yeah. I don't even know where he is taking me." She noted.
We gave each other a hug before going our separate ways.
I thought to myself as I strode to the bus stop. When will I find someone? Just then I see a crying Mason at the bus stop with his head in his hands. What do I do and I needed to decide fast as my bus was coming round the corner.
