Boy Meets Girl, Girl Meets Boy

Chapter 9

- LULU - 

The weather took a turn for the worse like 5 minutes ago.

*Boom*

Another lightning spark lit up the city. The sky was now a mesmerising shade of purple for one second then it went back to gloomy raindrops hitting my windowsill. I make my way to my window to close it and I spot Ethan clambering up my driveway, making his way to my door. Why is he here? I snap back to real life when the door bell rings, I hear my brother named Aaron making his way down the stairs to answer the door. I quickly pause my episode of 'How I Met Your Mother' and run down the stairs. I just managed to get past him when he was on the last step. 

"I'll get it." I asserted. 

He just nodded and went to get a packet of crisps from the kitchen before heading back upstairs to his room. 

I breathe in one big deep breath before opening the door. Clicking the door open, the first thing I see is a soaking wet Ethan. He just smiles. 

"Hey. Why are you here?" I ask Ethan. 

"I...um, I'm just going to be honest ok?" He advised.

I nod warily. 

"I like you and you know that. I just don't understand what happened between our amazing date yesterday and now." 

"Look, do you want to take a walk? I asked.

He nodded. 

I got a rain jacket from the closet and an umbrella. I also brought Ethan a jacket from the closet. We put on our jackets, and put up the umbrella. I stepped out of my house and instantly felt the cold weather. We walked to the end of my driveway before we began our deep n meaningful conversation.

"So the thing that happened between now and yesterday is that last night I was at Blaze and saw you with your arm around another girl. Before you say anything." I added. 

His mouth opened but closed when I continued. 

"I know that your not mine and I'm not yours. But seeing you with another girl affected me and I know it's called jealously. But I am just confused." I confessed. 

"That was my best friend from year 3. Her name is Hilary and I don't like her." Ethan assured. 

"By seeing you with that girl I do know one thing, and it is that I like you." I babbled. 

I was walking a little bit in front of Ethan and I felt him grab my wrist, he swung me around to face him and leant me against a tree before passionately pashing me. The umbrella at this point was on the floor and we were heavily making out. I pushed my hand into the back of his t-shirt moving it up as he kissed my neck. I pulled away and suggested to go to the park. 

We walked to the nearby park at the bottom of my street and searched for a bench that was not wet, we didn't find one. He sat down on the grass. Hesitantly I pulled away. But before I knew it he pulled me down to the grass and we both collapsed on the wet park floor. He lifted himself up still laying down and leant on one hand before wrapping his other hand around my waist and said,

"I really like you." Before flopping back down on the grass and pulling me into his armpit where I snuggled into him. 

At this point we were soaked but very happy. He looked down at me and continued to smile. 

We just lay there for 30 minutes before deciding that we would get hypothermia if we didn't leave. We walked back to mine where I made us both some hot chocolate. While making the warm, cozy drink he embraces me in a hug and lifts me up onto the counter top about to kiss me.
