"Your Peter tingle can dodge bullets but can't tell when I'm messing with you?"

"Maya... are you okay?" Peter asked when he walked onto the roof and saw her sitting on the ledge, with her feet dangling off. Amaya wiped her eyes as Peter sat down next to her before he wrapped his arm around her, and she shook her head. Then she heard someone flying up to them, and she saw Beck, and she wiped her eyes again.

"Nick Fury asked me to come up here and see how you two were doing. He felt bad about snapping at you." He said which made Amaya scoff because she doubted that he was the one who asked. It was probably Maria who did.

"Really?" Peter asked.

"You guys do have sarcasm on this Earth, right?" Beck asked which made Peter laugh a little, and then Beck looked at Amaya. "How are you feeling, Little Rogers? Which I have no idea what that means, but it seems to be what everyone knows you as." He said which made her laugh.

"Me and my twin brother are Captain America and Femme Fatale's kids... and I'm the younger twin, so everyone calls me, Little Rogers. Even though we have a baby brother now, so he should technically be...-Um, but anyways... I didn't think I was gonna have to save the world this summer, nor did I want to." Amaya said while letting out a deep breath, and then Beck looked at Peter.

"What about you? How do you feel?" He asked.

"Exactly what Amaya said... and I know that makes me sound like such a jerk, I just... I had this plan with Amaya, that she doesn't know about, because I wanted it to be a surprise, and now it's all ruined." Peter said while shaking his head. Beck sat down on the other side of Peter, letting his orb of a mask fall from his face, and he looked over at the kids.

"Plan?" Amaya asked as she looked over at her boyfriend and Peter shook his head.

"Doesn't matter now." He said which made Amaya frown because now she was curious about it.

"Neither of you is jerks for wanting a normal life, kid. Especially you, Amaya. Growing up being the daughter of Captain America and Femme Fatale, you probably have a lot of expectations on your shoulders. It's a hard path. You see things. You do things. You make choices. People look up to you and... even if you win a battle, sometimes they die." Beck said which made Peter start thinking about Tony again, since it was something that Amaya had brought up earlier, and she was thinking about him too.

The two of them kept seeing his face and his Memoriam everywhere they went, and although she won't talk about it. Peter knows that every time she sees it, it hurts her a bit more than what she lets on. "I like you, Peter. You and Amaya both, you're good kids. There's a part of me that wants me to tell you, just... turn around, run away from all this. Then, there's another part of me that knows we're about to fight, what's at stake, and I'm glad both of you are here." Beck said.

"Me too," Peter said and Amaya shrugged her shoulders. She didn't know how she felt about being here and doing all of this. Of course, she doesn't want people by the masses to die, that already happened once. She just didn't understand why she had to be the one to prevent it.

Again.

"But you're both worried about your friends," Beck said.

"Yeah. I just always feel like I'm putting them in danger... and I know Amaya is more than capable of taking care of herself, but I just always feel like I'm putting her in danger too." Peter said and then he looked over at her. "Ever since you came to Midtown High for the first time." He said and Amaya shook her head while frowning.

"You didn't put me in danger Peter, I chose to face those situations with you, and I don't regret those choices," Amaya said while gently squeezing his hand.
