"I'm really strong and I'm sticky."

"Betty! You okay?" Peter asked. The boat that Ned and Betty were on, came crashing onto the sidewalk next to where Amaya and Peter stood, and the couple immediately ran over to them to see if they were okay.

"Yeah," Betty said as Peter and Amaya helped them out of the boat. "Guys, we gotta go," Betty said as the water started to rise again, and Amaya noticed this time it took form. And it was... growling? Or groaning, she couldn't tell, but either way she knew that water was not supposed to be making noise.

"What is that?" Ned asked looking at Peter and Amaya.

"I don't know," Peter said.

"No idea," Amaya added in.

"What are you guys gonna do?" Ned asked.

"I left my suit at the hotel," Peter said which made Amaya facepalm. She didn't want to do anything hero-related anymore than Peter did, and she was going to leave her bracelet and bandana in her room, but then she could practically hear her mother's voice in her ear, talking about how she always needed to be prepared.

"Rookie mistake, Underoos," Amaya mumbled.

"Why?" Ned asked.

"Because I'm on vacation, Ned! Everyone's gonna see my face. Just get them out of here." Peter said while nudging him away. Ned nodded his head as he got MJ and Betty away from the couple and Peter looked at his girlfriend. "Do you have your suit?" He asked.

She lifted up her right arm to show her bracelet. "I could hear my mom in my head telling me to never be unprepared. I'll cover you." Amaya said.

She quickly tied her bandana around her mouth, leaving her nose exposed so she could breathe before tapping her bracelet twice and letting her suit take over her. Tony gave her a new suit, before the final battle against Thanos, and it didn't come with a complete mask, either but she loved using her mom's bandana, and then she tied her hair up into a bun.

Amaya and Peter tried to get as many people away as possible, and then she took a deep breath. She really wished she didn't have to do this. She looked at Peter, as the water monster, as she was going to call it, came rising out of the water close to where they were.

"Oh my god," Peter said while grabbing Amaya's arm and running back towards the stairs, right as it punched a fistful of water, but Peter brought himself and Amaya around a corner so that they didn't get hit. Peter put his wrists together, and Amaya let out a breath of relief.

"Well... at least you have your web-shooters." She said and then she turned her attention to her suit. "Sia... what are we looking at?" Amaya asked.

"If I'm being honest, Miss Rogers. I'm not too sure." Sia spoke back to her, and Amaya sighed.

"That makes two of us." She mumbled to herself. Peter shot out a web, which did nothing, and Amaya sighed before coming out of the corner and feeling her energy move through her and radiate towards her hands. She let out a powerful blast at the water, hoping that the molecules in her powers would be enough to break it apart.

It only seemed to make it angrier.

"That didn't work," Amaya said. And then she noticed Peter looking over at the bridge, where a lot of people were screaming, running around and he noticed the water monster starting towards the bridge.

"Oh no, you don't," Peter said while running after it, while Amaya launched herself up in the air to follow after Peter. She watched as he made his way over to the bridge, before launching himself on top of it, and she was already on the bridge, helping people clear out and get to safety.
