After Thomas left the kitchen, Silvia turned and looked at Wyatt.
"What about your dad, do he still consider us the enemy?"
"My father... have his ways and he seems to make his decision after his recent surgery."
"Is he back yet?"
"He'll be back, tomorrow as a matter of fact."
She paused for a moment, realizing the fact.
"That's good to hear."
Megan gave her mom a long, curious look as she motioned for Amelia and Wyatt to follow her outside.
"So, I have a idea."
"What is it?"
"My mom always had a touching spot for Clint but I think there's something more to that."
"Is that so?"
"I'm getting what you're saying which maybe it's time to try to get them to end the feud!"
"Exactly but we'd probably need them in the same location for this to work."
"Like the Birchwood jubilee? We're having one tomorrow evening after my dad returns home."
"Awesome, what do you think, Amelia? All of us gotta be on board or it won't work."
"I think we should invite her to the jubilee."
"Glad you think so because you're going to be the one to convince her."
"Me?"
"Yeah, I'll keep Thomas distracted but my mom won't listen to a Birchwood."
"Just an honorary Birchwood."
"Alright, this mission is now in effect, let's go!"
The three of them walked back inside to the kitchen as Megan had set the plan into motion.
"Hey Thomas, Wyatt was saying something about a gigantic hole in the grass in the front yard when they were arriving."
"Unbelievable, where?"
"Outside in the front."
Megan, Wyatt, and Thomas walked out of the kitchen, leaving Amelia alone with Silvia as she looked at her curiously.
"What's this really about?"
"Well, at the hospital, I saw you visiting Clint in his hospital room."
"Your point is?"
"I know that there's a long rivalry between your families."
"His great-grandfather stole our best cow!"
"I know but let's put that aside for a minute since that's gone on way too long enough."
"According to who?"
"A caring bystander who want a longtime feud to end."
"You don't know what you're talking about."
"True, but I think Clint might be willing to end the feud."
"No way, there's so much rivalry going on."
"But why should the past matter? It's not that the both of you did anything to each other."
"I suppose that's true, it was a long time ago."
Silvia sighed deeply.
"It's so tiring and gone on forever now but what's there for me to do?"
"You can come to the party we're having tomorrow and Clint will be home which it's right time to talk about it."
"I'm not going to walk into the enemy zone especially for a party."
"I thought you said that we weren't the enemy?"
"Oh, well..."
"Look, just give it some thought."
"You got some nerve, you know?"
"Yeah, see you tomorrow."
"Not making no promises."
Amelia saw Silvia smile to herself and then walked outside to find Wyatt as they drove back to Birchwood Ranch.
