"You know why God cast me down? Because I loved Him. More than anything. And then God created...you. The little...hairless apes. And then He asked all of us to bow down before you—to love you more than Him. And I said, "Father...I can't." I said, "These human beings are flawed, murderous!" And for that...God had Michael cast me into Hell.

The three of us went back to The Ten Bells since Draco and Baxter needed to drink after what we just went through; soul selling. I agreed to join them with the thoughts of having a drink for myself too, but of course, the Pepsi Max.
Because I wasn't really a fan of alcohol.
I finished one glass without talking, or listening to the two guys chatting about demons. My throat felt really dried as if I hadn't drank any water since yesterday, and even though I just had a glass with ice cubes to make it cold, the drink still couldn't get rid of the thirst I was having.
So I ordered a refill.
I wasn't sure if my body was showing its protest to the elements of surprise that I experienced earlier, causing the bafflement in me with two contradicting effects.
When we all were doing the ritual, I felt the chill and the shiver, until I could literally embrace the demonic presence right behind me because of its heating energy. But when the ritual was all done and completed, I felt the hotness in the air. Even summer in London didn't feel this hot, causing me to sweat until I had to remove my jacket.
And of course, the increase of my body temperature would link to the weirdest thirst I was experiencing at the moment; endless.
"Everything's fine, Lisa?" Baxter's voice woke me up from getting lost in my own thoughts about the whole ritual. "You are quiet"
"Yeah, I was just thinking"
"Detective," Draco called. "You shouldn't be worrying about what happened" He looked at me through the space that was created by Nick's arm as the man was taking a drink. "Your soul is already sold. It was a successful deal" He said when he was aware of what I was thinking about, knowing that he had an ability to hear people's soul. "You need to focus more on the real mission here, saving your girlfriend's"
"I am worrying about that as well, Mr. Krauss" I responded weakly. "I mean, I don't even know where and how to start"
"That would be challenging for you, but trust me, you will get there eventually" He motivated me and that was the best sentence he ever said to me since I first met him in this pub. The rest were just creepy and didn't make sense. "But I can't leave yet until you understand how your soul transferring into the same host but at a different universe works"
I shifted on the bar stool, getting interested in whatever I was about to listen to. Because being transferred to that different universe was the most awaited event for me.
Getting there was where I would get to see my Chae again. Getting there was where I could get her back in my life, even just for a while. Getting there was where I could set her soul free, just like how she always dreamed of each time she talked about heaven to me.
But meeting Chae had been my biggest dream since I didn't know if this whole thing I had done would work or not. I wasn't even sure if the ritual and the soul selling were real, or the things I had witnessed in that dark room were just my hallucinations.
The only way to find out was to travel to the different universe itself.
That was how the nonsense I heard and did would be proven real.
