"Seamus?", Sunday asks softly. I look down at her as she sits on the floor of my office, legs crossed and hands resting in her lap. A troubled look rests on her facial expressions as if she's been contemplations something.

"Yes babe?", I say. Immediately I feel odd, it was weird saying babe or honey or calling Sunday anything other than Sunday. Especially right now, the chilly weather had frozen the girl I had known bringing out this other girl who seems to hate everything about the season and constantly grumbles and complains about it. It definitely wasn't the girl I'd met at the beginning of fall wanting nothing more than to be liked.

"Can we go home?", she asks softly.

"I need to get some work done.", I state almost afraid of agitating her and causing her to snap on me. Sunday's frowns her eyes filled with sadness.

"Please?", she asks standing up, moving closer so she was standing right next to my computer. I let out a sigh and pat the top of my legs. Sunday slowly sits on my lap, her legs dangling a bit, knock off grey uggs barely scrapping the ground.

"Why don't you sit here?", I suggest, "while I finish up."

"Fine.", she mutters resting her head back against my shoulder. I work of a while, Sunday not making a peep, just silently observing my progress. Finally she looks at me and then kisses my cheek. I can't help but smile while looking at her.

"Seamus are we a time bomb?", she asks. I watch as she pulls the hems on her cream colored sweater sleeves over her hands, folding them together as she waits for a response. I look at her then furrow my eyebrows together not quite understanding.

"What do you mean?"

"Are we like a time bomb, destined to explode?", she asks again. I bite my lip, trying to find some reassuring words to comfort her and convince her other wise. It was difficult thought as winter Sunday didn't like being told no or being reasoned with.

"I don't think so.", I finally say after some thought.

"I feel like we're destined to explode.", she sighs. I take in the thoughts of first us literally exploding then cringe and shakes the thought away then thinking of us getting to the point where we couldn't stand each other and blowing up in a fight.

"I don't, I don't think we're a time bomb.", I state, holding her closer. She looks up at me with soft green eyes. I softly kiss her, pulling her against me. Sunday kisses back then pulls back looking at me.

"I better go.", she says getting up. I frown and pull her back onto my lap not wanting her to leave yet. Sunday just tugs free of my grip and suddenly I feel empty.

"Why?"

"I've got to do things to you know. Work and such.", she states heading toward the door. I let out a sigh turning my chair. I watch as she grips the metallic door handle then smiles faintly.

"Bye Seamus.", she says before walking out. I let out a sigh and run my fingers through my short hair. This was not happening.

I can make this work.
