Jason's POV

I shuddered as I passed him.

Every day it was the same.

Nothing was ever different.

We walk past like nothing had happened, like we hadn't lost 2 years of friendship.

Like we hadn't lost a year of love.

Everything was erased, the world still spun, the stars still shined.

Yet each day I felt more and more empty inside.

Why weren't you enough? If you were he wouldn't have cheated. If you had supported him more, been there for him.

It's all your fault.

Percy's POV

I flinched as our shoulders brushed together, each day the pain just became more intense.

I knew one day it would be unbearable.

You should've told him the truth rather than moping around. You shouldn't have sent Nico those messages even as a joke. You're pathetic, you're despicable.

It's all your fault.

'Hey'

Nico's sharp voice drew me out of my thoughts, out of the events of the Monday just passed. I looked up from my table to see a boy with shaggy hair standing in front of me.

I smiled 'Wassup?'

'The sky' he said nonchalantly, sitting himself down next to me.

'You are such a clown'

He shrugged 'That's why you love me'

I shuddered

'Nico... Its my fault' I breathed

'No, Percy, it's not'

'I'd we hadn't texted like that, even though it was a joke! We'd still be together, I'd still have my Jase'

Nico frowned at me and touched his hand to my arm.

I felt a pang of guilt in my heart as I remembered why Jason and I broke up.

Only for the 40th time that day.

I felt the guilt consume me and I knew it showed on my face. I swallowed, hoping I wasn't too obviously upset. My deranged thoughts brought me back to the events of the past few weeks.

I sighed in relief as I dragged the cool blade across my skin, the feeling of relief overwhelming.

I deserved this. I broke Jason's heart.

A knock on the door startled me.

'Percy? It's me, Nico'

My eyes widened, my bloodied arms were in perfect view.

'Just wait one sec!' I yelled, my trebling voice failing to mask my panic
