When Dean and I get back to my trailer, I ask, "How do we get back home? I mean, can we even summon angels in this world?"
"I don't know. But, since it's Gabriel that's doing this, I think that if we pray to him or call him, he'll appear to us in a multitude of sass," Dean replies.
I scoff, "What's his deal, anyway? Why did he only give you and I the ability to know what's real and what isn't? If he wanted this to be hard, wouldn't he have just made only me remember everything?"
"Maybe that's not his angle," Dean suggests, "maybe he let me be normal because he knew you wouldn't know what to do...or maybe he wanted to use one of us as a pawn against the other. In reality, we don't know shit."
"Gee, thanks for saying it kindly," I roll my eyes sarcastically.
"I tend to stay modest," Dean laughs under his breath.
"So," I say, "Do we just call him now?"
"No need to call me. I'm right here," I hear Gabriel say right behind me. Dean gets in front of me, pushing me behind him to protect me.
"Why did you dump us here? What do you want?" Dean confronts Gabriel.
"I just wanted to teach Lydia a little lesson, as well as you. You can't save everyone, and Lydia needs to pay for disrespecting me," Gabriel shrugs.
"What do you mean?" I ask, my heart beginning to beat faster.
"You'll see, in...due time," Gabriel laughs before disappearing again.
"Now why did that bastard have to leave us with a damn riddle?" Dean asks angrily before calming down a bit.
"Are you okay?""Yeah, I'm fine. We still need to figure out how to call another angel, get Sam to snap out of it, or something," I say.
Dean then asks, "Hey, do your powers still work here?"
"I'll see. Let me try levitating you," I reply. I try my hardest, but Dean never leaves the ground. Then, I try to read his mind. Again, no dice. "I've got nothing. I don't know why my powers won't work..."
"Great. So we have nothing to help us try to get out of this situation," Dean sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"Nothing at all," I agree. Then, Dean and I walk back to the Sasha Hurst trailer, trying to think of a plan.
As I lean on a table in the trailer, I look to Dean, who is sitting in a chair. I ask, "So, are we just supposed to sit here until Gabriel kills you? Or me?"
"No. We need to try and figure out what he wants and bargain. Unless, that is, we can find a way to break out of Gabriel's messed-up trap," Dean shakes his head.
"How can Gabriel do this, by the way? He's an angel, right? I didn't know they could do this," I say.
Dean replies, "Well, Gabriel is a special case. He partially turned into a Trickster...that means that he can make reality out of nothing, bend the laws of everything, etcetera. He's pretty much a god of his own."
(A/N: this stupid new update is killing me while I write, so sorry if my paragraphs get screwed over.)
"So, how are we supposed to convince 'Jared' that he really is Sam, without sounding like we're on drugs?" I ask.
"To be honest, I have no clue. Maybe we need to figure out what Gabriel wants from you, y'know?" Dean suggests, running out of options.
"We pretty much already tried that!" I exclaim in frustration.
"Fine. Well, I'm going to go back and look for 'Jared'. You need to stay here, lock the door, and don't let anybody in unless you are ABSOLUTELY SURE that it is me. If Gabriel shows up, scream as loud as you can," Dean directs me.
"Okay, mother," I roll my eyes, smiling. He smiles a little bit before leaving. I lock the door behind him, and then I go open the MacBook. I look up Sasha Hurst again, and I look at the news articles about her. Eventually, I stumble upon a rather odd one from a few weeks ago.
"Baby Bomb? Sasha Hurst Reveals Shocking Pregnancy Announcement, but Who Is the Father?" it reads. I scroll further down, not believing my eyes, and the article states, "Today, Sasha Hurst announced that she is expecting. The 22-year-old star did not release details about the baby's father, but she did inform us that after this season's episodes of 'Supernatural' air, she will be taking maternity leave, but she stated that she will continue with the show."
I slam the MacBook shut, wondering if - in this universe - I really am pregnant. It should be impossible, right? I haven't had sex since before I died, and we all know how long ago that was. Is it possible for Gabriel to alter reality that much?
"So, you finally figured it out," I hear Gabriel say behind me.
Follow Dean's advice. Scream.
"HELP!" I shriek as loud as I can, hoping to elicit a response. As I wait for help to come, my instincts kick in, and I get up to fight Gabriel.
"Why are you so afraid of dying? You've done it twice," Gabriel scoffs, missing every single punch and kick I throw. Feeling defeat but yet hope from the sound of footfalls coming to rescue me, I stop fighting Gabriel and slowly back away from him.
"I'm going to get you back in Hell myself. You are ungrateful, disrespectful, and you should have stayed dead," Gabriel says.
"That may be true, but you will never be as good of an angel as Castiel," I spit back at him. Gabriel boils in anger, and then he outstretches his hand. With one swift flick of the wrist, I feel an immense pain in my abdomen, and I drop to the floor.
"This is what I meant when I said due time," Gabriel laughs at me, and then he disappears.
(A/N: Short chapter, I know. I'm sorry. However, I wanted to get this out there because I am having wisdom tooth surgery tomorrow and I didn't want to delay an update any further.)
