When Cas gets back a few hours later, he returns to my room, and I know he's going to ask the same question he always has.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Cas asks, sitting next to me on the edge of the bed.

I sigh, and I know what he expects me to say.

But this time is different.

"There are so many things that I don't remember about my time with Lucifer and his demons...but there are more things that I don't want to remember," I say.

"If you would like me to get rid of the unfavorable memories, I can," Cas offers.

"I don't want to remember them, but I shouldn't forget...do you see what I mean?" I ask.

"Yes, I do. If you ever change your mind, you know to tell me," Cas shrugs.

"Yeah. Anyway, I was gonna ask you, do you want to go on a drive with me? I was gonna use one of those cars out in the back," I say, referring to the 60's to early 70's cars in the dilapidated garage. Whoever used to own this house must've died alone but with plenty of money, because those cars are in good shape. One of them is a 1965 Shelby GT, and damn, I never thought I'd ever have a chance to have a car that nice. It's got a little bit or rust and faded paint, but I plan on fixing that soon.

"I'll have to-" Cas begins before being cut off by Dean.

"Cas! Where did you put my freakin' gun?!" Dean yells.

"I'll just go alone," I say, and Cas leaves the room to go talk to Dean. I, on the other hand, get on my boots and lace them up, as well as put on my brown leather jacket. I go out the back door to the garage, avoiding the main room, and I grab the Shelby keys off of the key rack. There are cobwebs all over the place in the garage, and there is dust all over the cover on the Shelby. Taking the cover off, I unlock the door and get in the driver's seat.

After driving for less than five minutes, it starts to rain. Normally, it would piss me off a little, but the Shelby needed to be rinsed off anyway. Eventually I reach a one-way, dirt road, and I'm about to circle back when it happens.

Pain. Everywhere.

I manage to pull the car over and stop to put my flashers on, but everything just hurts too much. I can't see and I'm gasping for breath, I can't feel anything but the sensation of fire in my body. Fumbling for the door, I pop it open so I can get some fresh air. Maybe it will help. Maybe this is only temporary. Maybe...

I fall to the ground, unable to move. The sound of the engine running is the last thing that I hear before I succumb to the darkness.

I wake up warm. I'm no longer wearing my rain-soaked jacket, and I'm laying on someone's couch. Quickly surveying my surroundings, I don't see anyone. Then, a boy comes in the room.

"Oh, you're finally awake. Are you okay?" he asks.

"Yeah...what happened?" I ask as the boy sits down on the couch, right by my feet.

"I was driving down the road and then I saw you laying next to your car on the road. Did you have a seizure or something?" he asks.

"No, I don't really know what happened," I shrug, "But I need to get back to my brothers. They're probably worried sick about me."

"I can take you to them; you probably shouldn't drive after what happened," the boy says, concerned.

"Are you sure? Where's my car?" I ask.

"The keys were still in the ignition so after I got you into my car, I pulled it completely away from the road and locked all the doors. Your keys are on that shelf over there," he explains, pointing to a shelf next to his front door.

"How long was I out?" I ask.

"It's about two in the afternoon right now, so you were out for a whole night and most of today," he shrugs.

"Shit," I curse under my breath.

"What is it?" he asks.

"Um, where's my phone? I really need to tell my family I'm okay," I say.

"It's on the table right next to you."

"Thanks."

"No problem."

After a few rings, Sam finally picks up. "Lucy? What happened? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," I tell him, "I went out for a drive and something happened so I fainted." I don't want to start openly discussing the supernatural in front of the guy that saved me.

"Where are you?" Sam asks.

"Hey, um...mister..." I stutter.

"Matthew," he laughs.

"Matthew, where are we?" I ask.

"About twenty-five miles outside of town," he replies, "In Wesley's Creek."

"I'm in Wesley's Creek. About twenty miles away," I tell Sam.

"Okay, well, make it here as fast as you can. Who's with you?" Sam asks.

"A guy named Matthew. He found me when I was unconscious," I explain.

"Okay, well, just remember to keep your guard up. We don't want you getting hurt," Sam reminds me.

"Okay, mother," I tease before hanging up the phone.

"Okay, I'm ready to go home now," I tell Matthew as he tosses me my keys.

What did the pain mean?
