I wake up in the backseat of a car.
As I wake up, I realize that my hands and feet have been tied, and that my mouth is duct-taped. Well, shit. What do they think now?
"How long until we get to Bobby's?" Sam asks Dean.
"Literally like five minutes. Why is that so important?" Dean sighs.
"I was just curious. Jerk," Sam laughs.
"Bitch," Dean chuckles.
When the car stops, I can feel myself getting pulled and dragged around. It's nighttime, so I can't see that well, but I'm fine as soon as I'm indoors. Admittedly, I am still pretty out of it, but I am alert enough to know that I'm being tied to a chair.
A hard slap in the face breaks the fog, and I'm fully aware of where I am. I'm sitting in a chair in the middle of a Devil's Trap. Really? These people think I'm a demon? What the actual hell?
"Who are you? Truly?" Sam questions me, angry.
"Lucy. My real name is Lydia," I answer tiredly.
"Stop lying. Are you Lilith? Do you work for her?" Dean asks, hurt evident in his eyes.
"I don't know who Lilith is," I cry out. Sam throws holy water on me. Nothing, obviously.
"Okay, fine. But you aren't Lydia. Who are you?" Dean interrogates me.
"I already told you. Lucy," I say again. Sam walks inside the Devil's Trap and points a silver knife at my neck.
"Alexandria already used a silver knife on me. I'm not anything but a human," I tell them honestly.
Sam drags the knife across the left side of my neck. Again, nothing happens. Dean looks shocked.
His lips don't move, but I can hear him say, "Just like me when Castiel got me out..."
"Who's Castiel?" I wonder aloud.
Dean tilts his head slightly and asks, "Wait, how did you know about-"
"I'm here," a voice behind me says.
"Cas?" Sam asks.
"This really is Lydia. Truly, it is," Castiel says, untying my bindings. I walk out of the Devil's Trap like a newly freed slave.
"What are you?" I ask Castiel.
"I am an angel of The Lord," Castiel replies. "I'm sorry that Sam and Dean didn't believe you."
"It's okay. I'm fine," I tell Castiel.
"Don't lie," Castiel says, placing a hand on my shoulder. I can feel myself losing consciousness.
When I wake up, I'm on a bed. Castiel is the only one in the room besides me.
"Don't tell Sam and Dean, but I'm the one who got you out of Hell. I did it for Dean and I'm willing to do it for you, too," Castiel whispers.
"But, why me?" I ask, "I'm just a 19-year-old girl who got killed in traffic."
"Because I am always willing to help anybody relates to the Winchesters," Castiel smiles.
I then begin, "But what does that-"
He's gone.
I get up off the bed, and I stop myself before going out the door.
Where have I heard the name Winchester before?
