LOST (Byler)

Background knowledge: Will and El never moved. Hopper is alive, The kids are in their firs year of high school and about a week through.

Will's POV:

I woke up to the sound of my mom's claps. I rolled my eyes at the sound and groaned before I heard her open the door.
"Come on Will. Get up. You're gonna be late for school!"

I stumbled out of bed after I hear my door shut behind my mom. I throw on a striped t shirt and some jean shorts.

I'm about to leave my room for breakfast when I look over at my night stand to see my drawing from late last night. Mike. Mike's been my crush since I met him in elementary school. He's the one I've known longest in our party. He treats me the best too. There's Me, Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and El. Mike and El are dating. It breaks my heart.

I leave my room and grab an eggo waffle from the toaster and walk towards the door

"Have a great day at school hon!" My mom hugs me tightly.

"You too" I say pulling away. I open the door and walk over to my bike. I hear my mom close the door behind me.

I bike toward the school. Normally Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and I would bike over to the school but Hopper, El's dad, wants to drive El to school so she's safe and Mike is always with El.

I get lost in my thoughts. Mike will never love me. He doesn't like boys. He likes pretty and perfect girls like El.

I get to school and park my bike next to Dustin's. I know all five of them are here when I see Max and Lucas yelling at each other, El and Mike making out, and Dustin talking to the new girl, Pamela, about the biology homework.
"Hey guys" I mumble walking over to them. Mike looks up from El's glance and smiles at me.

"Hey Will! How was your weekend?"
"Okay I guess." I shove my hands in my pockets. I feel like Mike has been trying to be an extra enthusiastic friend after a fight where we were yelling at each other over a stupid D&D game.

The bell rings and everyone parts ways.
"See ya!" Mike says as he grabs El's hand and heads for their first period.
This year is going to be long.
