Will's POV:

I leave 2nd period annoyed. It's been two periods and I have hours of homework already. I see Max. She no longer looks embarrassed. She starts to walk towards me.

I roll my eyes. "For the last time. I'm not gonna date you. You need to be loyal to Lucas. He's a really good guy. You have to tell him what you did or I will"

"Will you?" She says confidently. She fishes for something in her pocket. She pulls out a small piece of paper. "Care to explain why this fell out of your pocket today? I mean I could to the whole party that you are secretly in love with Mike and drawing pictures of his lips for a hobby."

"Shit!" I cuss quietly. I reach for the paper and she pulls away quickly.

"If you ever tell Lucas or anyone what I did earlier, they will know all about your little little. Lip fetish. And your man fetish." She giggles and prances away.

"Shit!" I cuss to myself. This is the worst thing that she could do. Lucas needs to know that Max is toxic. But I how do I tell the entire party that I'm gay and I like Mike too. That's hard. And Mike finding out would kill me.

I avoid the whole party the whole day until lunch. I try to continue because I know when Max has power, she'll use it. Even if I slip up on anything.

"Will, you okay." Mike looks over at me.

Right. The whole thing yesterday and now me ghosting everyone today. He must be really confused. "Yeah. Just tired I guess."

"Me too." El and Mike say at the same time. They both giggle.

"Awwwww! Has anyone told you that you look so cute together?" Max asks looking over at me after her statement. I pick at my jello.

Mike looks at her weirdly. "Max. What the hell?"

"You okay?" El asks concerned.

"Yep! I'm in a great mood actually!" She says smiling big, but glaring subtly at me. I roll my eyes.

"It looks great on you." Lucas says kissing her on the cheek.

I sigh. I wish I could just tell them. But it's not that easy.
