IGNAZIO'S POV:

"WHAT?!" the girl, whose name I found was Marianne, shrieked.

I keep forgetting her name.

Ebenezer came rushing out of his room and skipped down the stairs.

"What happened? Are you okay Zoe?" he asked looking up at Ellaria.

She picked him up in his arms and kissed his cheek lovingly, "yes, baby. Aunty Anne was just being dramatic." she explained.

"As usual." he shook his head.

My eyes widened a fraction as I heard his statement and a chuckle escaped my lips snapping his attention towards me.

"Hey, you." he pointed at me in excitement and wiggled out of Ellaria's arms  to run towards me just like the first time.

I picked him up and he hugged me taking me by surprise, "I heard you helped Zoe when she was sick. She gets  sick often you know almost every month. Thank you for saving her." he whispered in my ear.

A grin broke out on my face and I couldn't help but kiss his forehead.

"You're welcome." I smiled at the adorable child in my arms.

"Zoe." he called her.

Why does he call her by her name? It's weird.

"Come here." he literally ordered her and much to my surprise, she listened.

She walked to where I was standing near the front door and Ebenezer turned in my arms.

"You should marry him." he said.

We both looked at him in shock as he said those words with so much seriousness like an adult.

"What?" Ellaria asked in bewilderment.

"You said we should marry the people who love us and whom we love too." he replied.

"I don't love him. Nor does he." Ellaria spoke.

Something tugged at my heart hearing her say those words but I ignored it.

"You said people in love care for each other, support and understand each other and always protect their other halves." he stated.

He was too sharp for an almost three year old kid.

"And you said that he helped you that day and then you helped him and he helped you again when you got that scar on your head. It means he cares for you and you both protect each other." he continued.

We stood there in utter silence not knowing what to say to him because we both knew he would have an answer to that as well.

"It's... too early for all that, Justine. I work for him, it is my duty to protect him. He... he's.. he's family now." she stuttered out and cleared her throat at the end as if just uttering the word 'family' physically hurt her.

I frowned slightly at the thought. I needed to know more about her and he family.

"Okay. But I like him, a lot and he's handsome." Ebenezer shrugged and looked at me.

I flashed him a smile and kissed his forehead again before we said our goodbyes and left the house.

"You look beautiful." I commented as soon as we stepped out of the house.

"Of course, the dress was my choice." she rolled her eyes playfully.

"Oh really?" I teased back and we both chuckled.
