IGNAZIO'S POV:
It has been a week since Acacia started going for her archery training.
She seems more and more enthusiastic everyday about it and I am happy.
She could prove to be a good asset for us and finally fulfil her dream of joining our mafia.
The door to my room burst open and I look up to see dad leaning against the door frame.
"Dad, is everything alright?" I ask standing up from the couch where I was answering a few important mails on my laptop.
"Yeah. Just wanted to tell you that we're going for dinner tonight. Your mom found a new restaurant and you know how she gets when she discovers new food options." he rolls his eyes.
I nod with a small smile on my face and get back to doing my work.
My phone rings after a while and I pick it up from the coffee table to see an unknown number flashing on the screen.
"Hello." I answer picking up the phone.
"It's been ages, Moretti. How are you doing?" A very familiar asks from the other end.
My face contorts in anger and I clench the phone tighter.
"What the fuck do you want bastard?" I snap.
"Still angry, I see." he replies calmly.
"Cut to the chase, Floyd." I bark.
"What's the rush? We have so many months of catching up? Let's talk over dinner?" the prick laughs.
My patience is running very thin with every passing second.
"Anyways, I just wanted to say hello. And to let you know that I'm back." he bit out and hung up.
I threw the phone roughly on the table and shut the laptop not in a mood to work anymore.
This asshole. How dare he threaten me? Who the fuck does he think he is?
I jump up from the couch and head into the bathroom for a much needed shower.
The cool water cascading downy my body, calming my nerves.
I wear a black button down shirt with black slacks. Spraying perfume, I walk out of the room only to hear a number of voices coming from our living room.
Upon entering the living room, I find Silas and Ramona Ambrose indulge in a heated conversation with my parents.
Silence took over the entire area as soon as they saw me. I raise a brow urging them to continue but the Ambrose couple seems to be hesitant all of a sudden.
After a whole minute of pin drop silence, they avert their attention back to my father who has an unpleasant scowl etched on his face.
"This is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. What do you mean you can't do it anymore? You should've thought that before producing offsprings." dad says.
"We need our freedom and some time away from all this." Ramona spoke gesturing towards us with a hand.
"Need a break from Mafia?" I ask.
"Yes." she replies.
"I don't see the problem." I say looking at dad as if it's no big deal.
"Ignazio makes decisions now. If he said it's okay, it's okay." dad huffs with a frown.
What was he so upset about anyways?
"We'll take our leave then." Silas stands up. His wife following suit.
