Ignazio's POV:
"Ellaria never mentioned." Braylon commented as we were sat around the dining table for dinner.
"She didn't know about my engagement. I told her just a few days ago." I said back.
He sighed and nodded his head in agreement, "I just want her to wake up."
I sealed my lips as I felt the familiar ache in my chest and started to eat my food quietly.
I wanted her to wake up, too, and as soon as possible. I wanted to see those vibrant green eyes staring back at me with rebellion shining in them as she defied every single thing I said.
I missed her.
A lot.
"So when do we leave for London?" I asked because I was desperate to get my mind off of her.
"Not you, I will." Braylon commented.
I looked at him like he had gone crazy, "Excuse me?"
"You're excused." He dismissed me with a wave of his hand.
My jaw ticked, "I am coming with you. No way are you going alone."
"I have to go alone. She can't know that we have already figured it out." He remarked.
I shook my head, "She probably knows already since she went to the garage the other day."
Mazikeen, Braylon's wife had flown to London last night and so we were planning to lull her back to Italy after Braylon will break the news of Ellaria's accident.
"You have to be with Ellaria." He said in a voice that left no room for argument.
"I'll go with him." Damien offered.
"He's right. She's asking for him." Acacia told as she came rushing to the dining room.
"Who?" I asked and my heart sped up.
"Ellaria. She's up and wants to see Braylon." She announced and all three of us immediately stood up from our seats and followed behind her.
Once we were there, I saw mom and dad coming out of the hospital room.
"How's she?" I rushed to question them as Braylon went inside.
Dad sighed and shook his head, "It's gonna take a lot of time."
"What do you mean?"
"The accident had a pretty bad impact not only on her body but also on her brain." Mom added.
"Stop talking in circles, for heaven's sake!" I exclaimed in frustration.
"The doctors fear that she may experience high levels of stress and anxiety along with extreme mood swings. A psychological aftereffect." Dad explained.
I sighed and sat down on the chair with my head in my hands, "I-I wish I could've done something."
"You couldn't have. It all happened so suddenly." Acacia said and sat down beside me.
"Where's Adrin?" I asked.
"Oh, he's got stomach flu that's why he hadn't come in two days." She told.
I nodded my head and Braylon walked out in that instant with a solemn look on his face.
"You should see her." He said and left.
I frowned and stood up to make my way inside, "Acacia, please see to Ebenezer. He's asleep." I instructed.
"Will do." she replied and left.
