chaesoo - fancy you

the tune of 'fancy' by twice was playing on the speakers in the practice room where lisa, rosé and jennie currently were.

'chonga?' lisa spoke from her position on the floor. she was currently sprawled out on her back with her head in jennies lap. jennies fingers were combing through lisas hair as she scrolled through her phone.

'yah lis?' rosé answered while winding back the song to practice the dance again. 'why did you pick fancy as your dance evaluation song?' lisa asked curiously as she began to move her foot to the beat of the song.

'uhh i don't know,' rosé said carefully eyeing lisa weirdly. jennie caught the look and smirked. 'oooooh rosie posie has a little crush!' jennie squealed while moving up to poke rosé's stomach. rosé's eyes widened as she tried to fend off jennies poking attack.

'no i do not! you're lying!' rosé said, trying to run away from the current attack. 'then who is 'the loml' in your phone rosie?' lisa smirked waving rosé's phone about. rosé's stomach dropped as she lunged at lisa to grab her phone back. 'that, is none of your business!' rosé yelled angrily, snatching her phone back.

'woah, woah, woahh! rosie what's this all about!' jennie asked, rubbing rosé's back. the aussie girl slid her back down the mirror to sit on the floor with her head in her hands. 'i'm such a mess.' rosé said, sniffling lightly. lisa heard this and slid across the floor to hold rosé's hands.

'rosie, look at me.' lisa said seriously. jennie eyed lisa carefully as lisa nodded lightly. 'rosie please,' the thai pleaded. rosé gave in and looked at lisa with tears brimming her eyes. 'it's jisoo unnie isn't it?' lisa asked with a sympathetic smile.

the sobs and the string of incoherent words that escaped rosé's mouth was an indication that lisa was indeed correct and rosé was in fact in love with jisoo. jennie and lisa consoled rosé until she was feeling better and they continued practicing until their time was over.

jisoo was leisurely walking back to the practice room after grabbing some snacks for her and her band members. she looked in the bag for her purse where the key card was for the practice room, she paused when she heard someone crying. she pressed her ear to the door to listen. jisoo knew what she was doing was wrong but she didn't want to impose on an important moment.

'i'm such a mess, i shouldn't love her, it's beyond wrong!' jisoo heard, she guessed it was rosé because of the heavy australian accent. 'rosie, it's okay to love her, you can't help who you fall in love with okay?' jisoo definitely knew that came from jennie as it sounded nothing like lisa.

jisoo stood with her hand in the door knob about to open the door but what lisa said was what made her stop dead in her tracks. 'you can't beat yourself up about it cheang. i'm sure jisoo would understand your feelings. as jennie said, you can't help who you fall in love with.'

time seemed to stop for jisoo and the next thing she knew, she was standing in the living room of their shared dorm. laughing could be heard from the door as jisoo suddenly scrambled to make herself look busy rather than just standing in the middle of the room.

'jisoo unnie, you good?' lisa spoke looking at jisoo who was upside down on the couch so her hair was sweeping the floor. 'uhh yeah? why wouldn't i be?' jisoo replies raising her eyebrows. 'well it's just, uhh, you're upside down?' lisa continued. 'ah! i had the hiccups so i sat like this to hope they'd go away. and they did!' jisoo said all too enthusiastically.

jennie and lisa eyed her weirdly as they pushed rosé in front of them. the four girls stood (and sat in jisoos case) in the room in an awkward silence, which was a first. lisa coughed and quickly rushed out the room into her and jennies shared room. jennie was about to make a quick exit when she yelled 'rosé wants to talk to you!'

jisoo furrowed her eyebrows as rosé sat at least three feet away from jisoo on the other side of the couch. 'i don't bite you know' jisoo said after a few moments of silence. 'yeah, i uh, i know' rosé stuttered.

deep down, jisoo wanted to make rosé feel as comfortable as she could. jisoo was about to tell rosé that she was reciprocating rosé's feelings and she was beyond nervous.

the silence was too much to handle as the two girls spoke up. at the same time.

'jisoo i-'

'rosé i like you too'

rosé sat and blinked rapidly as jisoo smacked a hand over her own mouth. 'i'm sorry it wasn't meant to come out like that!' jisoo rambled while trying to keep her hands busy with moving the sofa cushions around.

'jisoo please slow down, how did you know what i was going to say?' rosé asked, grasping jisoos hands in hers. jisoo looked down to their hands and blushed. yeah, she was in deep, but she didn't really care at this point.

'uh, i kinda heard what you, jennie and lisa were saying in the practice room after i came back from getting the snacks. i heard everything and kinda bolted back here to think. to think about my feelings for you.' jisoo spoke softly while running a thumb over that back of rosé's hand. rosé smiled and moved in closer to jisoo. jisoos breath hitched as rosé's lips moved closer to her face, but she had no intention to move so she just let it happen.

rosé kissed jisoo with all the feelings she felt towards the older girl, to which jisoo reciprocated. rosé was the first to pull away, but she didn't go far, she rested her forehead against jisoos and smiled to herself.

'you look like a fool in love roseanne' jisoo said while pulling away completely from rosé. 'a fool that's in love with you' rosé whispered looking into jisoos eyes.

'maybe, just maybe, i'm a fool in love with you too' jisoo said, pulling rosé in for another short but sweet kiss. 'so, where do we go from here then?' jisoo said after a few beats of silence. 'i don't know, but i just want to be with you' rosé said, staring at the ceiling with her arms wrapped around jisoo. 'me too cheang, me too' jisoo replied, leaning her head on rosé's.

their peace was quickly disturbed by jennie and lisa blasting 'fancy' in the dorm speakers and screaming the lyrics at them. rosé and jisoo just laughed at jennie and lisas antics, but soon after, they both joined in.

the dorm, once again, was in perfect harmony.
