jennie had been wandering about a lot of things lately. things like why was the date 30/07/18, why was the sky blue, who discovers all the rare animals and mainly what would happen if she kissed her best friend rosé-

what? jennie wasn't gay. or was she? she wasn't really sure if she was or not but she had some sort of feeling towards rosé and it wasn't in a 'i love you like a sister/best friend' way. she thinks it's love?

rosé was out and proud and she had no shame. jennie was jealous that rosé could kiss and date whoever she wanted wether that be a male or a female. jennie wasn't going to lie to herself, she had men all dying to be with her but she didn't give any of them a second glance.

so three months along the line, jennie herself still wandered why the date was 31/10/18, why cats liked circles AND she still wandered what it would be like to kiss rosé. she also came to the conclusion that she was indeed gay. very gay.

she spent the time hooking up with girls in secret and feeling awful because she felt like she cheated on rosé even though they weren't together. she had put up a front in front of her friends and her management. of course, jennie had nothing to worry about with her friends because 1) her other three band mates were gay, 2) her management wasn't against the subject most are these days and 3) it wasn't anyone else's business really.

one day (15/09/18) jisoo caught jennie staring lovingly at rosé and she busted her just before rosé spun around towards them. jennie had caved and told jisoo everything because jennie was finding it hard to keep it all under wraps. jisoo was nothing but supportive. a little bit of the heavy weight was lifted off jennies shoulders.

the following day (16/09/18) lisa came up to jennie and busted her. jennie had done nothing out of the ordinary and lisa guessed jennies feelings towards the aussie through jennies daily musings. the more people that knew of jennies predicament, she felt a little bit better in herself.

another few months later, which so happened to be a few days before jennies birthday, jennie told management but still hadn't told rosé. jennie literally had to beg jisoo and lisa not to tell her and that she would do it when she was ready.

jennie had planned out how she was going to tell rosé. jennie was going to tell rosé that she was gay and that she loved her. but you see, things don't always go the way you plan them. here's how that day went;

flashback.
(jennies thoughts in bold)

'has anyone else wandered why the days of the week and the dates are as they are?' rosé asked curiously as she munched on a hot chilli.

'yes! yes i fucking have omg i love you so much my soul mate!'

'yeah, i've been thinking that sometimes too. like it's so weird right?' jennie said, plonking herself down next to the aussie. 'literally, right? like who even thought of that?' rosé finished, looping her arm in jennies.

lisa and jisoo smirked at jennie and jennie blushed lightly causing jisoo to burst into a fit of laughter. 'what's your problem unnie!' jennie wailed pulling furrowing her eyebrows. 'don't do that jen, you'll get wrinkle lines!' lisa said poking jennies forehead before dragging a still laughing jisoo down the hall to her room.

it was silent for a few moments before rosé spoke up. 'jen, i have something to ask you.' she started off carefully. jennies heart started to beat pretty quickly and caused her mind to have a battle with itself.

'shit shit shit shit  she's gonna tell me she hates me isn't she FUCK!'
'fuck it. ask me all the questions. i just want to hear you talk 24/7!'

'ok?' was what fell from jennies lips. jennie was wishing rosé would just ask her what she wanted for her birthday so she could push the nerves away. but again, it wasn't really that easy.

'jen i've been wandering this for a long time,' rosé started as jennies heart began to beat triple time.

'holy shit this is it. i'm literally going to die before i can tell her i love her. well it was nice knowing you, tell mom, dad, kai and kuma i love them!'

'jennie-unnie, i've been watching you for a while and it's just that,' rosé started again but stopped to accumulate her thoughts but jennies mind was still racing.

'what THE FUCK?! she's been watching me? how? have? i? not? noticed? i watch her all the time- wait that's creepy but like STILL nothing out of the ordinary?! CONFUSION!'

'ok?' fell from jennies lips again as rosé moved to hold jennies hand.

'AHHHH HER HANDS ARE SO SOFT PLEASE HOLD MY HAND FOREVER'

'jennie, please be honest with me, just, please?' rosé said, staring jennie in the eyes.

'AHHHHH this is it. she's found me out. ok. i surrender, tell me that you hate me'

'okay, when am i not honest with you rosie.' jennie said cupping rosé's hands with one of hers. 'okay, unnie don't be mad or annoyed okay, it's merely an observation.' rosé finished with a slight cough.

'well shit, this isn't what i planned. when does anything go my way? brace yourself jennie. brace it.'

'jennie, do you, by any chance like girls?' rosé asked after a few minutes of silence.

'shit. shit fucking shit. THINK OF SOMETHING, JENNIE THINK.'

'jennie are you-'

rosé's words were cut short because jennie presses her lips against rosé's. rosé's eyes widened but kissed jennie back nonetheless.

'WHAT AM I DOING. THIS WASNT PART OF THE PLAN. but shit. her lips are so soft holy shit. i'm falling deeper.'

jennie released her hand from rosé's cheek and dropped it to her lap. she pulled back from rosé and sighed.

'jennie. what was that?' rosé asked still shocked.

'it was the tango rosé come on really?! was it THAT bad?!'

'an answer to your question.' jennie stated nodding with finality. rosé furrowed her eyebrows and opened her mouth to answer but nothing came out.

'i guess i like girls now.'

'well, not just now, i've known for a while now rosie. i just didn't know how to tell you. first hand, lisa, jisoo and management know. you, you rosé, are just difficult,' jennie started.

'how so?' rosé asked bypassing the fact that everyone managed to find out before she did.

'you're difficult because you're the one that made me figure out i like girls. that's why you're the last to know. i've liked you for a while now and i just didn't know how to approach you about it because you're well, you!' jennie rambled out while waving her hands about for emphasis.

rosé smiled and leaned forward to stop jennie from flapping her arms about. 'jen, please stop flapping, you're gonna take off if you don't.' the aussie laughed. jennie stopped 'flapping about' and stared at rosé. the two seemed comfortable in the silence they were in and they just smiled.

'jennie, i asked if you liked girls because i wanted to know. i don't care that everyone knew before me, i just wanted to know for myself because i like you too.'

'AHHHHHH OMG THIS ISNT HAPPENING. STOP. STOP PLAYING CRUEL JOKES ON ME THIS ISNT FUNNY!'

'i-' came from jennie. rosé laughed at the tounge tied jennie in front of her but moved to kiss her again. from down the hall, jennie and rosé could hear the cheers from lisa and jisoo. this made the couple pull back from the kiss laughing.

the two girls smiled and said 'i love you' at the same time. and from that moment on, jennie told rosé everything.
