jenlisa - boss

'fuck you, you piece of trash!' lisa shouted slamming her hands on the steering wheel. she pressed on the gas a couple times to make sure what happened, wasn't real. but lo and behold, she wasn't going anywhere. she got out the car and popped the hood and when she did, smoke hit her face which made her curse every person she'd ever met.

after lisa's mini meltdown, she went round the car again and picked up her phone.

'jennie? can you do me like a really huge favour?' lisa asked, rummaging through her bag. 'hmm what is it?' came jennies reply.

'can you go to my meeting for me? the car broke down and i can't get there. it's on the 3rd flood of the building in about 5 minutes. everything is on my desk but i doubt you'll need it because you know everything' lisa rattled off.

'hmm i guess i could. i was going to anyways because you usually like 30 minutes to prepare yourself before meetings but seeing as you aren't here, there had to be a reason. i've called someone out to you, should be there in a minute,' jennie was cut off by another voice in lisa's end.

'jennie baby, thankyou for this, i owe you big time.' lisa said before dropping the call before jennie could answer. 'yes, you do.' jennie muttered to herself before gathering herself and heading off for the meeting room.

'hello ladies and gents,' jennie said striding through the open door. 'i will be leading this meeting as my wife is otherwise occupied. thankyou for you understanding.' she placed the papers down on the long black table and picked up the remote. she turned her back for three seconds and she already heard snickering and whispering. she spun back around and eyed the table.

she was silent. which put everyone on edge. her eyes scanned the table a few times before landing on the two men on the left of the table.

'anything to share?' jennie asked sweetly. too sweetly. all the other staff cringed as they could see the underlying storm brewing. the two men were silent as one shook his head. 'very well then' jennie sighed as she turned back around to the screen. jennie was just about to speak again, but not before one of the men spoke up again.

'actually, i have got something to say' the brown haired man said. jennie turned slowly and snapped her eyes to him. 'and what would that be?' she asked, placing her palms on the desk.

'with all due respect ma'am, but what do you know about this meeting? mrs manoban said it was strictly confidential and that no one could see the files. that's if they wanted to die of course. are you sure you can handle this?' he spoke with a smirk. the rest of the staff gasped at his brazen behaviour.

'well, you see. this was supposed to be MY meeting. i had a bit of a medical crisis, but that's none of your business is it? i am more than capable of leading this meeting sir. if you think for a second that i can't, you can leave right now.' jennie said, walking to the open door. jennie took the silence for a win and went back to the board to continue the presentation.

'so what do we think?' jennie asked shuffling the presentation papers. when no one spoke, she nodded her head and packed her things. 'good, i'll review the papers and stats then i'll get back to you shortly.' she added standing up from her chair. the staff started to filter out but only a select few remained. the ones that did were the ones that tried to doubt her abilities.

'gentlemen, what are we still doing here, don't you have work to do?' jennie said, clipping up her case. 'yes we do mrs, but are you sure that's the right move? the stocks will drop and the company will go bust. i think you need to reevaluate the strategy.' one man said. he was about to start up again but the door being knocked on stopped him.

'what are we still doing here? why are you cornering my wife? and why are you doubting her? everything in that presentation was written by me, someone that has grown this business from the ground up so don't you even dare try to bully her.' lisa said, standing tall. she walked through, past the men and placed a kiss on jennies forehead. 'it's fine, i can handle it.' jennie muttered hanging her head. 'no let me, sit down baby.' lisa said taking over.

'do you remember at the start of the meeting when jennie said she was capable of running the meeting and you doubted her?' lisa started walking closer to the men. the fear in their eyes was amusement in jennies, she tried fighting back a smile behind a glass of water.

the men didn't speak, so lisa started up again. 'you,' she said, pointing to the man that spoke up against jennie at the start of the meeting.

'i know she said it was supposed to be her meeting but you doubted her again. and not that it's any of your business, remember when she told you she had a medical crisis? she did, she's pregnant and almost lost the baby due to stress so if you even dare put her down or doubt her abilities again i will end you with my own hands, got it?' lisa spat, getting in the man face. the man nodded furiously as he quickly turned and fled the board room with his minions following.

lisa let out a sigh while jennie let out a small laugh. 'what are you laughing at?' lisa said while coming to sit next to her wife. 'nothing, just seeing the vein on your neck pop. it happens when you're angry. something i've noticed recently.' jennie said caressing lisa's hand. lisa caught jennies hand and kissed it. 'i could hear the things they were saying. i wish i could have gotten here quicker to help you. i hate it when they bad mouth you.'

jennie smiled and shook her head. 'it's nothing i can't handle. the doctor said i was fine to go back to work, i just need to take it easy. you know that because you were there silly.' lisa heaved another sigh and stood up, offering out her hand for jennie to take.

'where we going?' jennie questioned taking lisa's hand anyway. 'we're going home. i'm making you dinner, we're going to watch films and cuddle.' lisa stated while pulling jennie into her arms.

'why, i thought you had paper work to do?'

'i do but my focus is now you. i'm taking a few weeks off and i'm spending my time with you. we can do whatever you want. you're the boss and i am at your command.' lisa whispered into jennies ear.

'oh, okay. let's go then, the bed is waiting.' jennie smirked, pulling lisa to the door. They both laughed as they slid the frame on the door from vacant, to engaged.

Needless to say, lisa said jennie would need the two weeks off for 'recovery'. and maybe also embarrassment.
