A surprise you called it
Where you were so gentle in choosing just the right thing for me
Making it meaningful
and making it romantic
But-
You have gifted me with many things before
Love;
That was the real surprise and done in the right way
You showered me with it every moment of every day
Care;
This wasn't a surprise because I saw it coming
And I embraced it within my arms
Trust;
It took me a while to accept this from you and to return the favour
But it soon became easy
Strength;
You praise me for the strength I have within
But you're the one who gave me sight to see it
I was oblivious to strength until you came to show me
