I was lying in bed
On my side
With one arm under my head
I was frozen,
Staring into the world
Scared
Scared of what I have to face
And scared of that unknown
My ears were focused on the beat of my heart
Pacing in panic, fear and loneliness
But -
Then I thought of You
And I felt my heart skip a beat
I felt present and more alive
I felt at peace and centred
Just because I thought of You
