A Penny for God
I remember being asked "a penny for your thoughts" well what about for my dream
I'd say a bullet cause the last time a man spoke up that's what his currency was in
Creed comes from the Latin word credo meanin I believe
Well what if your belief isn't the same as my way to believe
What if our creeds are so different, we feel like aliens compared to each other?
You can tell me we worship in the same way but what about the way we worship
in thought
I remember once being asked
"How do you know god is real have you met him?"
My answer was all the same
"No but I know he's real"
So, if I can justify my belief with how I feel, why cant he
He who thinks aliens are
He who believes in many gods
He who believes there's an afterlife
"God is the saviour" from what
Lettin our imagination consume us like an insatiable void from leavin us in an
endless state of limbo
Or for helping us create a father figure who has enough power and enough of an
image throughout mankind to put all our loses, faults, victories, success, dreams,
and our horrors into
Without blamin our own intentions or temptations
