My brain goes crazy. A million thoughts are swimming around in my head, and it's overwhelming. Uriah? He died. It's impossible. Is it a... miracle? Who could possibly sound so much like Uriah? I lift my head up and my eyes shoot to Uriah's bed. My eyes widen, as I see Uriah's open eyes. They look brighter than ever.
"Ur...Uriah?" I stammer, my voice cracking. He grins.
"Tris," He replies. "Why are you all crying?" He asks.
"Uriah! Uriah! You're alive! How? Uriah!" A voice screams. Marlene. I focus now on her. Tears are streaming down her face. But I am sure that they are tears like mine: Of joy. Uri chuckles.
"What do you mean? And why am I here?" Uri questions. He glances around himself. "Ya know, the hospital?"
"Uriah!" Chris exclaims. "Uriah! You're okay!" She runs over and crushes him in a hug. Marlene piles on top. "Uri! Bro!" Zeke shouts.
"Zeke! Dude!" Uriah says, mockingly. Zeke looks happier than I've ever seen him. I, however, am frozen in my spot. I can't seem to move.
"Um, Uriah?" I say in a small voice. I don't believe that he's back until we're looking straight into each others eyes. "Uriah!" I say with excitement. It's true. It's happening. Uriah is... back. Alive. I join the others in the hug. Uriah is still very confused and keeps asking where he is and what's going on. But we're all too busy soaking this all in to answer. This lasts about five more minutes. Finally we line up at the sides of his bed.
"Okay, still confused." Uriah frowns. "Someone start talking."
"Okay," Zeke says. "So, here's what happened." Then, Zeke launches into the whole story. Sometimes Uri interrupts to ask for more details, but most of the time he remains silent. At the end he is speechless. So we all sit in silence, because we have a loss for words.
