Chapter Thirty- Four

The silence is broken after about six minutes.
"Well, I can imagine how scary that would've been. I mean, who could live without me? I'm awesome," Uriah states. I roll my eyes.
"Uh, does anyone remember why we were so sad about life without Uriah?" Zeke jokes.
"I don't," Chris replies.
"I do." This, of course, comes from Marlene.
"Thanks baby," Uri mumbles. They then go into a deep, passionate kiss. We let them have their moment, but soon Zeke says, "Ugh. You guys." They pull away and Uriah slaps his brother. We hear footsteps and turn to the doorway. It's the doctor.
"How are you feeling Uriah?" He questions. Uri grins.
"Good. When can I go home?" He sounds anxious. The doctor scans his clipboard and writes some things down. "Well, I'm thinking that based on your remarkable recovery, whenever you would like. You will need to take some pills and we will need to test you before you go, but we can do that right now and you'll be out in twenty minutes." I feel a smile spread across my face. He's okay. He's okay. He's okay. When we got here, I thought it was over. When he died, it was over. But now, I have a feeling, this is just the beginning, The beginning of my life in Dauntless.

We're walking back to the Pit when Four rounds the corner. I can feel my heart start to beat faster. I mean, I still don't know what saying I love you to someone really means, at the fault of Abnegation. But,still, it has to mean something. All I meant, was that I like spending time with him and he should know that. But I can help wondering what he meant by saying it. "Uriah." Four's deep voice fills the hallway. Uri nods to him. "I heard you got shot. Already out of the infirmary? How?" Four questions. "Dude, it's a long story. Tell you later?" That comes from Zeke. Four smiles, Dang, he's gorgeous. "That'll work. But take it easy Uriah." Four comes toward us more then says, "Tris, I need to talk to you. Something with training. It'll take awhile, so you guys go ahead." He nods to the rest of the group. They glance at each other but just wave and begin their conversations once again. Four and I keep walking and soon end up in the training room. " So, um, what'd you need?" I ask. "Tris, you're in danger." Four stares at me. "Why? How?" "Because, Tris. I know what you are."
