Lucy was stripped of everything as well. She couldn't use her staff because she bracelet was taken and put into her bag, which was taken as well. She was given a pink dress that reached her mid thighs. It was cut down the middle in the front, exposing the inner sides of her breasts and the cut stopped at her belly button. It was very flattering but she was kinda self conscious. Lucy hugged herself, trying to cover the exposed areas.
"Come sit young lady. Let's have some tea." The queen said as she gestured to the seat across the table from her. Lucy sat down and glared at the queen.
"I know Sin didn't mean any harm. Why did you have to throw them all down there?"Lucy questioned, getting straight to the point.
"I do not appreciate men who use their looks to get the things they want. As I said before, they lack sincerity." The queen said as she brushed a hair behind her. She took a sip of her tea.
"But I also noticed how conservative you are. You have a great figure. Why do you hide it?" Lucy winced at her question.
"I don't know, I've grown up with clothes that covered almost everything. It's just out of my comfort zone." Lucy explained who blowing her tea. Secretly loving everything about the smell and the taste.
"Interesting... How about living here? I know you are a magician. Why not stay here and help me take care of this country?" The Queen said with a smirk as she say Lucy's eyes widened.
"I can't. I have friends back in Reim. I will not leave them behind. They took care of me when I needed help. For that I owe them everything." Lucy finished her tea and stood up.
"If I can't help them, then I want to be thrown down there as well. I can not live without them." She declared, making the Queen narrow her eyes.
"No. Guards bring her to her room. Do not let her out. Seal the windows" The Queen commanded while finishing her own tea and leaving for the night. Lucy struggled against the guards but was eventually thrown into her room.
-
Lucy sat in the room, which only contained a bed. She couldn't sleep though. It had to have been a few hours since she was put in here and the boys were thrown off the cliff. She stared at the wall in thought. A familiar bright light appeared and she reached out to it with no hesitation.
-
Lucy woke up on a floor. It was wooden, so she was not in Artemyra anymore. She stood up and dusted herself off. She pulled the sides of the cut of the dress together, trying to get some decency and warmth in the chilly air.
"L-Lucy..?" A voice said as a figure sat up from the bed.
"K-Kouen?" She asked with a pinch of joy. Lucy jumped over to the bed and tackled the half-asleep teen into a hug. Now that he was fully awake he hugged her back.
"It's been too long. How have you been?" She asked happily while sitting in front of him. He sat up again and crossed his legs.
"I have not been good up here...I don't know if it is safe for you to be here." Kouen said with sadness in his eyes.
"It's fine... talk to me." Lucy said in a comforting voice. Kouen give in easily and explained what tragedy has occurred just days ago...
-
"Now you are the first imperial prince? Hakuyuu and Hakuren died in the fire... their dad too." Lucy muttered to herself. Kouen talked about a fire starting and how it killed many people. The old emperor and his two oldest sons. Now kouen's dad sits on the throne with the old emperor's wife as his own now. The youngest son, Hakuryuu was badly injured at the age of six. Lucy could tell that Kouen was very close with the two who died. The way he spoke of what happened was the best indication of it.
'Gyokuen Ren did this... the witch of Al Tharmen...' Lucy thought, gritting her teeth.
Kouen suddenly pulled her into a tight hug, surprising the girl. He tucked his head into the crook of her neck. She could hear his sniffles and relaxed into his hold. She rubbed his back and ran her fingers through his tousled hair. After a few minutes he let her go.
"Thank you. I'm sorry." He thanked her. She flicked his forehead.
"Don't apologise for that. I'm here whenever you need me. You are one of my best friends. I hope you know that." Lucy said as he chuckled and nodded.
"Of course. Now tell me what you have been doing. It has been a while." Kouen asked the blonde who explained her situation, leaving everyone's name out.
-
"Well, that is quite the predicament. Is that why you are wearing this?" He gestured to her exposing dress. She blushed lightly, thanking the dark light, tugging the sheet tighter around her.
"Yeah, I didn't really have a choice in the matter." Lucy yawned. Kouen smiled gently at her and pulled her down beside him. She squeaked as her back was pressed against his front.
"Just sleep, you can leave in the morning..." He said when she relaxed a bit. He felt her nod and he closed his eyes, entering dreamland once more.
-
In the morning, Kouen was the first to wake this time. He slowly untucked his arm from around her. His body protested from losing her warmth, but he needed to get a few things done. He grabbed a dress, from one of his maids, and laid it out on the chair in the room. He stripped from his night clothes quickly and changed into his more princely ones.
Lucy woke up and looked around, panicking when she didn't feel Kouen. She relaxed when she saw him struggle a bit with his hair. She quietly got out of bed and walked over to the mirror he sat in front of.
"Let me help you. You seem to be having a bit of trouble." Lucy smirked as he lowered his hands, giving into her help. She brushed his bangs out and tied a small piece of his hair up and into a small bun, then covered it with a black clip. She made it a messy but cute look, much like his appearance when he was a full grown adult. He didn't have as long of hair nor did he have his stubble. But still, the seventeen year old was really rocking it. She finishes it off by putting a small hair pin through the clip.
'You are pretty good at this." Kouen commented while looking at the blonde through the mirror. She smiled sheepishly.
"I've had practice." Lucy said thinking about her old life with her brother. Kouen stood up and gave her another hug.
"You probably have to go right? You tend to stay a night then leave afterwards. I have to go to this time. I'll see you next time." He said while looking slightly down at her. She grinned and nodded.
"Til' next time!" Lucy said as she left through the window. Since she couldn't use her wand, she will have to use the space magic Sheba drilled into her head.
"Think of an endpoint. A tangible anchor. It tells you where to end up. If you are not careful, bad things could happen. With or without a wand, using this your magoi will be depleted. You must be careful." Sheba's voice rang through her head. Lucy focused on Sinbad. She imagined him, everything about him. His deep sultry voice, long purple locks, golden eyes, familiar toothy grin, everything she knew.
