A New Battle

"Everyone stop." The blonde said while raising her arm. She earned everyone's attention. Lucy walked over to Serendine and pushed her forward.

"If you will not acknowledge Sinbad as king. There is someone else you are looking over. Serendine is a fine king's candidate in my opinion. There is no reason to continue this meaningless fight." Lucy said looking over everyone's shocked expression. Zepar looked at the blonde then towards the pinkett she pushed forward.

"Miss Lucy, are you sure about this? I thought you wanted Sinbad here as king?" Zepar asked the blonde.

"I am positive. Serendine has fought hard to get where she is. I trust she would do well with this power if you were to acknowledge her." Lucy said with a smile.

"Humans sure are creatures intent on doing things their own way. Who's friends, whose subordinates, and who's king vessel... you haven't listened to what I've said about any of it... Humans really are...interesting creatures." Zepar said with a soft smile.

"Fine. I'll recognize you as a possible king's vessel because Miss Lucy recommended you. However... all of that was just big talk. I can't recognize you as a king with some half hearted trial. So, my trail for you is..." Zepar said as he pointed towards Sinbad and Serendine.

"There are two king's vessels. So it is natural to have you fight each other right? But it is boring if you just fight to compare your strength like the fights I've already seen. That's why. I want you to compete in a different way. This will be my final trail."

'The princess and Sin are going to fight?' Ja'far thought.

"What do you mean by fight in a different way?" Ja'far asked Zepar, voicing everyone's question.

"What? It's not difficult to understand. I'll have them fight with words." The Djinn said with a smile.

"With words?" Sinbad asked.

"That's right. Anyone can see that your strength would be no match for Sinbad's metal vessels. So in order to fight against him, you must use words as weapons." Zepar explained to the group. Ja'far sighed in relief.

"It doesn't seem like this can turn into a fight between Masrur and I..." The boy sighed again.

"It doesn't seem like you understand the nature of this fight. They'll be using words to argue against one another, essentially having a mental fist fight. Attacking the very values that make up the foundation of their kingly attributes. Besides bringing their differences to the forefront fighting without using strength of arms may result in a conclusion that leads some of you to part company with you master." Zepar said while looking at Sinbad's companions. They all tensed up in response.

"This fight is a showdown between their ideologies. In other words, a battle of the heart." Lucy said while Two rukh came from the two opponents. A scale burst from the ground and each rukh flew to their respective side.

"No matter how well you're able to keep your cool on the surface, your heart cannot lie. If your heart wavers, this copy I've made will also waver. When the scales tip towards one side, that will indicate the winner. Now let's get started. A fight between two king vessels." Zepar said as he floated menacingly behind the scale, watching as the two took a stance.

"My question for the king vessels. If you were awarded the metal vessel, how would you use it?" Zepar asked his question to the two.

"Zepar that's easy. I would use the power of that metal vessel to change the world. For that purpose, I have made efforts to create alliances with other countries and continue to advance towards my goal of creating my own country. The world is filled with injustice. I will create a perfect world free of conflict where we can all accept one another as we are. My intentions haven't changed at all since the moment I gained Baal's power!!" Sinbad said his side. Ja'far and the others smirked in pride of his answer.
