After she calmed down Sinbad explained the situation. They both ran to the crowd of kids who stood menacingly behind Maader. She was looking for Sinbad with Kil trailing behind., Lucy held a small bit of fear towards Kil.

"Yeah, leave it to me..." Sinbad said. Lucy watched the children ran up to her, acting happy. When she grabbed one of them and said they needed to be sold immediately, they got their conformation. Sinbad was right, she doesn't love them.

Sinbad grabbed on of Maader's wrists and pulled her away.

"Lady Maader! This way! You must not provoke them!" Sinbad ran with her. She looked down at her free hand.

"It's a slave rebellion." Sinbad explained, silently excited that his plan was working. Maader looked at him in surprise.

"It happened while you were gone. When you sent Fatima away, a faction of them held suspicion. I did my best to handle it while you were gone but it is difficult without you Lady Maader." Sinbad said, feigning helplessness. Maader explained that the Sindria Trading Company screwed her over. How they tricked her. Sinbad was shocked but very elated that they were doing something.

"I lost to them in business. I lost you Sinbad, my most valuable child..." Maader cried. Sanbad soothed her, saying that we will always be her child.

"I can't stand that their ship will be here tomorrow! You are really a good boy!" Maader hugged the teen.

The next day, Sinbad and Lucy helped each other take their shackles off. Deep purple and blue bruises circled around their necks, wrists and ankles. They both sighed in relief from the release of pressure.

"Please hand over all of the property, slaves, as in agreement of our contract." Ja'far said holding his hand out. Maader excused herself, saying she has a lot of goodbyes to say. Sinbad grabbed Lucy's wrist and ran over to Ja'far.

"She didn't seem to be worried about leaving you two..." Ja'far stared at her retreating figure.

"Maader brainwashes her slaves and uses that to manipulate them. She still thinks I am under her influence. Unfortunately for her, Lucy and I have come to our senses. And that is just the beginning." Sinbad said, rubbing his sore wrists.

"Soon we will be seeing the last of that woman." Lucy finished, cracking her neck.

"The last... Sin have you done something?" Ja'far asked while looking at the arena from the distance.

"We left something behind." Lucy began.

"A tiny, tiny ember that will engulf everything into flames..." Sinbad finished. Soon after they said that, the arena went up in smoke.

"W-What is happening over there?!" Ja'far exclaimed.

"It's a slave rebellion." Lucy stated, wiping tears from her eyes. Ja'far stared at the two.

"I had to undo the brainwashing that Maader washed over them. I used that to my advantage and made them understand the true meaning of being a slave. When they were broken, I gave them hope of a future they could obtain if they fought for it. So I prepared all the children and on my signal, the rebellion started." Sinbad said, giving an emotionless expression, obviously disappointed in himself.

"In other words... You brainwashed them, manipulated them to your benefit and used them as your own pawns... Exactly like how Maader brainwashed them for her purposes." Ja'far said.

"If that's the case you should understand... The local infrastruncture within Reim is supported by the insistution of slavery, so a slave rebellion is unforgivable. Even if its a rebellion led by children, there will be a price to pay... The fate of all rebels if the death penalty." Ja'far continued.

"Ria Venus Island is a special administration district... so there will be limited help. Reim's national armed forces will not be able to interfere. That means... the private armed guards of the Maridel Company will try to suppress the rebellion as quickly as possible..." Ja'far said, looking at the purple haired teen. His hands were in fists by his sides.

"I know... I know all of that. That is why I will take responsibility for all of it." Sinbad said.

"My metal vessels, you brought them with you, didn't you?" He asked. Ja'far handed Sinbad his sword and watched as he left. He and Lucy walked to the arena.

-

He turned to Lucy who had tears in her eyes. He looked at her open back and saw the lash marks the were littered across her pale skin. Ja'far grabbed her hand.

"Let me take care of you." Ja'far said as he pulled her aside from the children. He grabbed ointment and bandages.

"Thanks Ja'far." Lucy said, wincing when he wrapped bandages around her back and stomach.

"Yeah, no problem. We are all happy that you guys will be back home soon." He smiled and walked over to Sinbad.

Lucy watched them while holding onto Masrur. They both had developed an unusual bond during their time together but both were grateful for the company at the moment.
