"I see... That is unmistakably a scar left by a slave collar...So that means you really..." The chief said while looking at Sinbad's lightly scarred neck.

"Yes, our master fell from his life as the head of a trading company and into a life of a slavery. He regained his freedom for now, but he was once so brainwashed that he'd begun to lose his sense of self..." Ja'far spoke up in place of Sinbad.

"I learned a lot during my time as a slave. How it felt to be one of many used only to serve the whims of the few... those last days and the cruelty of that fate... Knowing how it feels first-hand, I cannot just turn a blind eye. That's why... I want to save those who are suffering. I want to change the world. Where people trample others underfoot..." Sinbad clenched his fist, remembering his days as a slave with Lucy.

"And you say you want to save us too..." The chief said as he began to converse with his villagers behind him. They spoke in their native language, so neither one could understand.

"...I wonder if you got through to them." Ja'far said with a worried look as Sinbad just stayed unusually silent.

"It just occurred to me that Masrur, Sharrkan and Lucy have been gone for a while now." ja'far said as a light appeared above his head.

"Now that you mention it, that's true..." Sinbad said, snapping from his thoughts.

"W-What's that commotion? Its coming from that direction..." Ja'far said while looking in the direction where the others ran off. Soon the trio arrived with camels with the slave traders tied to the back of them. Everyone gave them a look of surprise.

"Capture complete!" Lucy said with glee as she held two fingers in front of her eyes.

"I'm quite capable when I put my mind to it!" Sharrkan said with a sense of pride.

"I was wrong... I shouldn't have called you weak..." Masrur said while looking at the ground in guilt. Sharrkan widened his eyes at the Fanalis.

"You weren't bad...with a sword. You also...kinda saved me...Thanks Sharrkan..." Masrur said with his gaze cast downward. Sharrkan grinned.

"Really... you don't listen to people...and run off on your own. Do you have any idea what would've happened if I wasn't there to help? But.... now I understand...there's something I've really wanted to tell you. Masrur... you know, I've noticed something a lot during our journey... You..." Sharrkan said as several tick marks appeared on his face.

"You don't grasp the fact that I'm older and should be your mentor, do you? I'm older! You're younger! Isn't your attitude towards me a little strange?!! Since our very first meeting, you've been using such informal language and addressing me rudely. And you never pay attention to what I say! And I've had enough of you poking fun at me!" Sharrkan yelled as Masrur widened his eyes as he slowly back away from the boy.

"Huh...but I was part of the Sindria Trading Company before you, so... I should be your mentor.." Masrur commented, causing Sharrkan to completely lose it.

"WHAT?!!! That's not how it works!! People are supposed to show at least some respect to their elders!!! Got it? You should address me as your mentor. Mentor Sharrkan!" The boy yelled at the Fanalis. Lucy sweat dropped at his antics and pulled the camels a bit faster.

"Mentor Sharrkan...?" Masrur asked with confusion.

"Yes, that's it! Now you just need to work on your attitude and start speaking more politely!" Sharrkan said happily, his ego inflating significantly.

"Umm...I think I should probably stop my arms from bleeding soon..." Masrur said tiredly. Sinbad and Ja'far stared at the group in question.

"What are they doing?" Sinbad asked he watched as Sharrkan was squeezing Masrur's cheeks with annoyance.

"Trying to change the subject? That's so like you!" Sharrkan yelled at the Fanalis.

"Umm... could you let go please?" Masrur asked as he winced in pain. Lucy held back a chuckle as she led the camels to her companions.

"...Well, it's all good if they're safe right...? Although they look a little beat up.." Sinbad said with a sweat drop. The two teens looked at Lucy as she dropped the men onto the ground in an ungraceful manner. Sharrkan and Masrur stood beside her. The former pointed to the pile of men with a confident grin.

"W-What happened?!?" Ja'far asked frantically while looking over the bruised and bleeding boys. Sinbad walked over to Lucy calmly.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he watched her look at Ja'far lecturing the duo.

"Yeah, I didn't need to step in. They are capable of handling themselves. On our way back, the two even refused to be healed because they wanted to prove to you guys that they did this by themselves..." Lucy said as she watched them fondly. SInbad grinned and threw his arm around the blonde's shoulders. The chief watched them with a shocked expression.

"What... happened here?" The chief finally asked, finding his voice. Sinbad, forgetting all about the Torran village for a moment, turned to them.

"Ahh...Torran Village Chief!" Sinbad exclaimed. Sharrkan grinned and stuck out his chest in pride.

"These people are slave traders. Their target was your village, but we've captured them. Now the Torran people will be safe! We won't stand by and let a tragedy like slave trading occur!" Sharrkan said with a smile. Lucy grinned beside him and Masrur kept his stoic face.

'Even these small children fought for us... What a strange group of people...' The chief thought.

"You have my approval." The old man finally said.

"Chief?!" Sinbad said, clearly surprised the stubborn man approved them.

"Do not misunderstand. I still do not trust you completely yet... You are different from other outsiders...yes... I've got a feeling about you." The chief said, looking at Sinbad in particular.

"Thank you...very much!" Sinbad said with a pleased grin.

"The sun is setting, you may stay in the village tonight. " The chief said. The group jumped with glee. Lucy held out her hand as the rest of their small group stood behind her with a warm smile.

"Let's go, Masrur." The blonde said as Masrur took her hand.

'The Dark Continent... the land where my people once lived... I may...never set foot here again... Goodbye, homeland of the Fanalis...' Masrur thought as tears fell from his eyes.
