I sighed, looking at the messages from Adam. This nigga is real life crazy.

I didn't trip on Adonis. I shouldn't have left him drunk and alone. Sure I was upset, but not at him. I know I can shake this rumor. It may take me getting a girlfriend who I don't exactly want..but I can do it.

Me:
Stay away from my house Adam.

Adam:
why you doin this? Answer my calls. I get the rumors are tough. I get you wanting to get a stupid girlfriend. But we don't have to end what we have.

Me:
Whatever man.

I suddenly got an incoming call from Adam, finally deciding to answer it.

"Eden!"

"Don't yell at me. What do you want?"

"You! Dumb ass nigga. I want you and you're being difficult-"

"Adam."

"We can keep it quiet Eden. Not tell anyone. Not go anywhere in public. You can even have a girlfriend you..do whatever with. We don't have to have sex or anything. I just..can't be without you."

I sighed, ignoring the fact that I felt the same way.

"I don't know."

Adonis and I exchanged no words as we laid in his bed. Some random movie was on, but I couldn't seem to get into it.

It worried me we weren't talking. I didn't wanna assume he was still annoyed with me— but that seems to be the case. All I wanted to do was break this weird tension.

Sighing, I scooted closer to him.

Something about me doing this got some type of reaction out of him— with him scooting slightly away from me.

Hm.

Still without speaking, I turned my body around, now facing him.

He stared at me tiredly, seemingly uninterested in my games.

"What're you trying to do?" He uttered quietly.

"Nothing." I said before kissing him.

He didn't say anything back, pulling me closer as we kissed.

This wasn't a fix to all problems, but it seemed to help.

Our hands travelled each other's bodies— when suddenly Adonis stopped.
