A/N: ^^This is me spilling all the tea in this chapter
Nabi
We headed north, toward to the middle of the city. The blond boy Soonyoung drove while the girl rode shot gun. I sat between the other boy and Jeonghan.
"Tell me why I'm here Jeonghan," I let out. I wasn't scared of the situation anymore. I just wanted to be enlightened.
He shifts "Are you familiar with the Moon Mafia's?"
I nod.
He doesn't continue. Instead he just sits back and watches out the window as if we weren't just about to have a conversation.
"I'm Choi Seungcheol." The kid beside me holds out his hand. "We're cousins."
I let out a small gasp. A little baffled, a lot surprised. This whole situation kept continuing to catch me off guard. I take his hand in mine.
His callused hand was firm. "This is my twin sister Seungjin," he taps the girl's shoulder but she doesn't turn. "She's in a mood today."
"And I'm Kwon Soonyoung." The boy driving winks at me through the rear-view mirror.
I smile, "nice to meet you all... I suppose."
"You suppose?" Kwon Soonyoung chuckles.
"She did point a gun at me," I nod towards the short haired girl. Which she still hasn't apologised for, by the way. "And how exactly are we cousins?" I turn my head to Seungcheol beside me.
His light brown eyes were dazzling. "Our dad was your mom's twin brother!"
For the nth time I was surprised. "My grandmother told me he was dead..."
His turn eyes sadden. "Yeah... he had no choice. But he'll tell you the story himself later."
"Later? As in I'm going to meet him?" Excitement filled my body. I look over at Jeonghan, he was watching me.
He smiles back, "are you happy?"
I nodded in response. I couldn't stop smiling. I had more family than I thought I did.
"Sorry to break up your little party back there, but we're here," Seungjin unbuckles her belt as Soonyoung exits the car. She turns on her seat and looks right at me. "Listen cuz, this is what our dad has ordered for us to tell you so take everything I say seriously, otherwise our plan will be ruined."
"What are you-"
"Shush!"
"Look here you little brat. I've just have had it with-"
"Noona," Seungcheol puts hand on my shoulder. "Please we really need you to listen before Soonyoung hyung overhears." His eyes were as good as talking as his lips. They were pleading.
I let out a sigh and gestured for Seungjin to continue.
"We're a part of the Moon Mafia's and our boss is about to give you a spot here because of two reasons. One, because you are our dad's niece, the great Bullseye, that's what they call him." She said the last part very proudly. "Two, the boss is convinced that you are Master Junhui Senior's daughter."
Junhui hasn't told them the truth yet?
"We're going to need you to pretend to be his daughter, noona." Seungcheol says cuts in.
"Why?"
"Look, we'll explain everything later. Do you trust us?" Jeonghan says hurriedly.
My father's warnings about getting involved with the Moon Mafia's were now replaying in my head. But this side of my family needed me, I can't abandon them. "What's the outcome of me joining your little plan?"
The three look at each other then back at me. Before anyone could speak, Soonyoung opens the driver side door and pokes his head in. "Are you guys coming, or what?"
"Leave the keys, we'll be right there." Jeonghan says politely.
Soonyoung shrugs. "Alright man, see you later." Without a second to lose he was gone.
"Well?" I raise my eyebrows, "tell me."
"We're going to kill Junhui Junior," Jeonghan says bluntly. "Not only to take revenge on the clan for your mom, but for mine too."
-
Every muscle hurt in my body today, including my heart. With all the information I had taken in, I was exhausted. I drag myself into my tiny home and slump onto the couch. "What a day..." I say to myself, oh so I thought.
"Tired?"
I jump at the voice of auntie Aera.
Her light footsteps make her way to the couch. She stops and hovers over me. From this angle, she looked tall, for once. "What's your father going to say when you tell him you joined a damn gang Choi Nabi?!"
"I know you're in the clan too auntie," I roll my eyes. "I got given the same jacket as you. Well, similar."
She sighs dissapointingly and sits beside me.
I rest my head on her shoulder, "I'm scared."
"I know... me too," she whispers. "Your uncle is visiting tomorrow with the twins, Jeonghan and someone you're yet to meet to discuss the plan. Oh and my fiance."
"Wait," I sit up properly to face her. "You're a part of the group that wants to take revenge on the clan? Why? You seem to love your job."
She smiles sadly, lips trembling. "They betrayed us. Trust and loyalty is what the clan wants to teach it's soldiers but when we were ordered to burn down a hospital full of innocent people, that's when the trust broke. And you know what else? That mission was a secret. No one else in the clan knows apart from the ones that were sent to do it."
I could feel myself starting to cry at the thought of my mother once again.
"Please you have to go... please-" Sunny was choking on the black smoke that had spread all over the building.
"Take Nabi and run Aera! We don't have much time! Just go!" Nari yelled at the top of her lungs as she holds Sunny by the waist, supporting her.
Aera wasn't budging. The baby, wrapped in white cloth was crying hysterically in her arms. "I can't leave you two! I can't." She was trembling on the spot as she watched her two friends stuggle.
Sunny had only given birth half an hour ago. She was drained to the core. Walking was hard enough, let alone trying to run.
"We'll be okay I promise," Sunny smiles weakly. "I'll see you outside... but incase that I don't-" She falls. "Tell Nabi that I love her. Tell Junhui I love him too."
"I lost two best friends that night." Auntie was shaking in my arms.
"It doesn't make sense." My tears were falling onto her head. "If Junhui's grandfather thinks that I'm a part of their family, why would he send his clan after my mother and I?"
Auntie slowlys gets out of my grip, sniffles a few times and wipes her tears. "You're right. He would never try to harm a family member. I know that he genuinely thinks- oh no." She stands abruptly. "That mission wasn't real. T-that night, Master Wei didn't send us. Lady Jing did."
"Junhui's grandmother..." I gasp.
