As soon as the bell rang, I was out the door. I couldn't stand being near Junhui another second. I felt too awkward and embarrassed since I kissed him.

"You're excited to see me," Jeonghan chuckles as he sees me rushing towards him.

I get in his car and waved for him to do the same.

"What are you so panicked about?" He asks as we pull out of the school parking lot.

"I'd rather not talk about it." I rest my head on the back of the seat comfortably and closed my eyes. "Let me nap real quick before we discuss killing the grandson of the most feared mafia alive."

He doesn't hear the slight sarcasm in my tone. "I can detour if you want?"

I just smile in response. Unlike Junhui's car, Jeonghan's had a calmer vibe to it. Maybe it was his bright and fun personality, unlike the the former. I open my eyes now and slightly tilt my head so I could see Jeonghan.

The sun was shining brightly through his window which made it look like light was iluminating out of him. It was so blinding I had to shut my left eye.

"The clan killed my mom too," he says then.

I blink once. "Oh."

"I'm not sure if you know of my father but your uncle does. They went to high school together." He was telling me about the saddest thing that's ever happened in his life and here I was, not being able to say a thing. "There was a kidnapping back when they were 19? Maybe 20? I'm not really sure. But my father was one of them. He's been traumatised by the experience. Almost to the point where he could've gone crazy."

I look away from him and stared at the road ahead of us. He really did take a detour.

"He met my mom a few months after while he was seeing a psychologist." His tone turned softer. "Every time we talk about her, he would say 'she makes everything better' and then I would say, 'dad she's not here anymore' and then he would laugh and look at some empty space and reply with the same sentence every time, 'tell me you can't see the angel standing right there.'"

Stupidly I ask, "do you miss her?"

He shrugs. "I can't say really. I don't tend to miss people I didn't really know."

"But I miss my mom," I say a little too defensively.

He momentarily gives me a smile then focused back on the road. "That's because you're only finding out about her world now," he pauses. "I've always known my parent's story from beginning to end."

I wished I could relate. Maybe if I had found out sooner, I would be in a better position than right now. "So how did your mom..."

"Die? She fell ill as soon as she had me. One night at the hospital when my father had just gone home, a Moon Clan member mistook her as the target and well, shot her," he shakes his head. "Master Wei needs to stop taking in rookies that can make that type of mistake, don't you think?"

I nod slowly, "right." I wasn't sure if he was trying to be funny or if he was being serious. It made me uncomfortable either way.

"Anyway, my auntie found out about this and requested for me to be taken care of by the clan for their stupid mistake," he sounded amused. "So here I am now, on my way to organise a plan to kill her son."

My head snaps toward his direction. "What?!"

"Oh right, Junui's mother is my father's cousin." He looks at me too and reads my expression. "I should've led with that."

After ending the dicussion of our Assassinate Junhui Junior Don't Tell Anyone Or We're All Dead (literally) Plan, auntie gave out some home made cookies and tea.

There was eight of us in on it with my uncle being the leader. His plan seemed so faultless that it made me nervous to be around him. I also found out that his nickname in the clan was Bullseye because he was the top sniper with a 100% accuracy rate.

"So noona, how's school going?" My 15 year old cousin Cheol asks with enthusiasm. He and his twin sister were the first to be born into the clan (not counting Junhui of course). Both their parents are clan members- unfortunately, they divorced. Thus why she is not here.

"It's boring," I wrinkle my nose. "I don't recommend it."

He leans closer towards me and lowers his voice, "I don't recommend being in the Moon Mafia's either."

That makes me giggle which makes him laugh hysterically after.

I catch Seungjin briefly glance our way before looking back at her father who seemed to be explaining something to her. I realised that they were very close. Seungjin might've been a brat, but boy was she a daddy's girl.

"What are you two little rascals laughing about?" Auntie Aera appears with her tray of chocolate chip cookies and offered them to us.

I take 3 and Cheol takes 5.

"Hey, hey, hey save some for me!" Jeonghan shouts from the kithen island behind us. He was chatting with the two other members I wasn't familiar with just yet.

"Get over here then," auntie shouts back. Then to me she says, "scoot over."

I lightly nudge Cheol to move to the other end and let my auntie cram onto the couch with us.

"I heard that you'll be starting training tomorrow," Cheol says to me with a mouth full of cookies. "Are you eshyted?" He slightly spits out the last word, obviously regretting his decision to eat all 5 cookies at once. "Oop- sowee."

I wipe off a sticky bit of cookie off my cheek with a giggle. "It's okay and yeah I'm super eshyted!"

"Don't expect them to go easy on you because you're the bosses granddaughter," my auntie's fiance remarks as he joins us on the couch too. He sat on auntie Aera like a little kid.

It wasn't a secret here who my real father was. They all knew.

"What should I expect then Hacker Lee sunbaenim?" I wasn't being sassy, I was genuinely curious as to how everyone was going to react to me.

"They'll all want to test you probably," Xu Minghao, the Chinese man who I had just met today butts in. "That's how everyone reacted to me when I first joined the youth unit."

"That's because you worked for the other side you moron," my uncle retorts.

That makes the two couple beside us chuckle in agreement.

It was odd how a few inside jokes made me feel small compared to the rest of the group. It's like being the new kid all over again, but this time, I was in a gang.
