Sorry this one is late, guys. I've had a pretty busy week!

ACT 1 SCENE 8

-Back in the first house where Sean died. Kayla, Chelsie, Connor, and Rachel are moving around the room

Kayla: * To Chelsie* I don’t think I need to tell you how important it is that you don’t touch anything.

Chelsie: *Excitedly* No sir...Ma’am... Boss!

-Connor and Rachel look confused

Kayla: Newbie. Sorry.

Connor: I thought when you said you had an extra that it would be someone with more experience.

Kayla: She’s going to take over for me someday. She’s got to know the ropes.

Rachel: But you didn’t have to bring someone so new.

Kayla: I trust her. Just don’t give her a lighter.

Chelsie: One time! Are you ever going to let that go?

Kayla: Nope. *To Connor* What was their family life like? Were they fighting often?

Connor: No one knows. We think the neighbor had something against the husband though. Him and the wife seemed pretty close.

Kayla: You didn’t mention him in the report you sent me.

Chelsie: Actually, he did boss. The report said that he was calm during both interviews.

Kayla: I know. I was testing you. Glad to know you’re actually paying attention.

Connor: Anyway, We also suspect the “neighbor down the street”. He...

Chelsie:*Quickly* Acted very suspiciously at the second scene!

Kayla: I get it. You read the file. Calm down now.

Chelsie: Sorry.

Rachel: He’s also a pharmaceutical technician. He would have access to the drug that was used to poison both of them.

Kayla: *To Chelsie* What was the drug?

Chelsie: Tox screens say Arsenic.

Kayla: Good job.

Connor: Can we get on with this?

Kayla: You train your recruits, I’ll train mine.

Rachel: Sir, I was the same way. Cut her some slack.

Chelsie: *Mouths* Thank you

Rachel: *Nods* Besides, I read the case file at least six times, I don’t remember anything about Arsenic.

Connor: Whatever. I just want to get out of this house. Is it just me or does it feel like we’re being watched?

Kayla: I was wondering when someone would say something. You feel like you’re being watched, because you are.
