POV: Ashley Gladden

"What happened! What happened! What happened!" Alyssa chanted while Dean also chimed in.
"Yeah what happened mom?"
I waited for Alyssa to stop jumping around in my lap before I answered, "I'm getting there. But if you two keep interrupting me we won't finish the story before bedtime."
To children that was the ultimate threat, not getting to hear the end before being forced to sleep. So Alyssa slapped a hand over her mouth showing that she would try no to interrupt. Though Dean wanted to question my logic.
"But we just got up from our nap an hour ago. We still have a lot of time before bed." He folded his arms across his chest thinking that it made him seem like he was right, something he picked up from his father.
"Your right. But it's a long story." I said giving him a little look. He just uncrossed his arms and sunk back into his seat.
"So, can I continue now?" I said looking at both of them. Dean just nodded while Alyssa was moving so hard she almost dell of my lap.
...
"Ugh....." My head was throbbing and my leg hurt like a bitch. I looked down at my arm only to see a piece of metal stuck in my upper arm with blood flowing out around it.
"Crap."
I knew taking the metal out probably wasn't a good idea but I wasn't going to be able to do anything with it in.
Taking a deep breath I squeezed my eyes shut and pulled it out. Pain instantly shot through my body but I ignored it, garbing at my shirt I used the metal to cut a long strip off and tied around my arm in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
"My cop shows may finally be paying off." I though looking to see where the pain in my leg was coming from. Right at the end of my shorts was a burn that went all the way down the side of my leg to my knee.
"Well that's not good." I mumbled. This wasn't the first time I've got burned but this one was much bigger and hurt a hell of a lot more.
I looked around trying to understand what the hell happened. the last thing I remember was climbing onto the deck and David had a weird look before that wave came out of nowhere.
"We must of crashed." I thought before looking for somebody, though from where I sat i couldn't see anyone.
"David!!!!" I yelled hoping that maybe we were thrown from the boat together.
Wait...
"The boat!!!" I thought trying to turn myself around to see behind me. about twenty miles away I could she the boat crashed on the beach, there waves lightly crashing into it every few seconds.
