Krissy was only able to walk around the mall for forty five minutes before she had to sit down when her legs grew too tired to move on. She found a bench in front of a giant globe to sit on as she caught her breath, cursing her frail body.
A half empty cherry slushie in hand, Krissy settled on the bench, placed her cane between her legs, and took another sip. She hadn't bought anything besides the slushie and she had no plans to do anything more than window shop. She decided to people watch, something she hadn't done since her trips to the mall with...Tony.
She gently shook her head. No, she was no about to think about Tony.
As she looked around at the other people shopping around her, Krissy realized something maybe she should have realized sooner. Her back grew straighter as she tried to not reveal what she had noticed. Her pulse raced.
She was surrounded.
About four men were strategically lingering around around, two behind her and two in front. She only picked them out apart from the other shoppers by pure instinct and the way all four seemed to glance in her direction at different times. As much as Krissy wished she could chop that up to her beauty...she highly doubted that was it.
She went to set her cup down, deciding she could swing her cane better with both hands if she needed, but as soon as the cup touched the bench, a man sat himself on the other side of it. She looked up in alarm. The man smiled at her disarmingly, a sort of boyish grin.
This man was a pale blonde with very light blue eyes, and a strong jaw that somehow didn't make him look any less boyish. He wore a simple white t-shirt over broad shoulders, blue jeans over long legs, and black boots as if he was just any other guy out at the mall, but Krissy knew better. By now she could find a hidden weapon with just a glance and this 'boy' had one at his side.
"Whenever I come here I just can't resist," he held up a little paper bag from the Cinnabon stand she had to drag herself away from about fifteen minutes ago. "Do you want one?" He dipped the bag forward so she could see the cinnamon balls inside. Krissy simply stared for a second before she glanced around her again, she was trapped. She turned back to the man. What did he want from her? "Oh, my manners are terrible! My name is Shoura, it is a pleasure, Krissy."
Krissy's hands tightened around her cane. "I didn't tell you my name."
His face went slack for a second, "oops," he smiled and laughed shortly.
Krissy swallowed. "What do you want?" She asked as if she wasn't afraid at all.
"Well?" he waved the baggy of cinnamon balls at her expectantly.
Krissy faltered before she she shook her head awkwardly. "No...No thank you."
He shrugged before he popped one of the balls into his mouth and chewed with a smile. "I don't blame you for not taking food from strangers after what happened and all."
"What do you want?" She spat her question this time, tired of his game. " You wasted your time. I don't have anything you want nor am I as important as you think."
Shoura's smile turned knowing. "I highly doubt that. But that's besides the point...I simply wanted to meet such a special friend of Bryce's face to face. And Krissy, I hardly ever waste anything, especially my very important time."
"Krissy," Her gaze snapped away from Shoura to Bryce who stood directly in front of them. He had a few of his men with him, all of who were eyeing the men she had noticed earlier, who were now a lot closer. Bryce's gaze though, it was squarely on Shoura and completely wild. "Krissy, come here." He demanded, voice like a blade.
