So there's a conversation in this chapter and I want to see if anyone would like to take a crack out decoding it. Anyway, you guys and your comments are the best. Comment. Vote. Thanks.

Thinking back on it, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to cry in a room she knew Shoura frequented. She hadn't started off crying though, just watching a movie or attempting to anyway. Her mind her wondered back to the visit with Bryce and the tears had started up after that.

When Shoura had appeared sporting glasses (she had never seen him wear glasses before), she had quickly covered her face with the sleeves of her sweater, dreading what he was going to say. He always had something to say after all.

He had flopped down in the two person theater like chair next to her, once again disrespecting all sorts of personal space. He had changed out of what she had seen him in earlier and now sported what he had called depressed mom's casual wear (an olive green sweat shirt and gray sweat pants), also known as his pajamas.

The chair shook underneath sudden weight and how he just threw himself down. "What are we watching?" He asked.

"X-men" she answered but because she was covering her face the words were completely inaudible.

He mocked her in an exaggerated way before speaking more clearly. "I can't hear you with your face covered up like that, Krissy." He said lightly. She jumped when he took hold of her pinky finger and tugged it. "Hmmm? I can't hear you! Stop covering your face, I was looking forward to seeing it after a day of looking at the mugs of ugly, old men." He continued to tug at her pinky. "Come on," he crooned.

Finally feeling a little stupid for covering her face she lowered her hands but didn't dare look at him. "X-men." She said with a croaky voice with her face uncovered. She couldn't believe he caught her crying. She wiped at her wet cheeks.

"I assume your not crying just because this movie sucks." He said in a quiet voice, uncharacteristically serious .

She bit her lip and glanced towards the screen. "This does suck." She sniffed.

"Yeah," she could hear the smile in his voice, "but that's not the reason I was deprived of seeing your cute widdle face for so long, huh?" He cooed and tugged at her pinky, which was still in his possession. She rolled her eyes and he laughed. "Do you want to talk about it?

"No," she said quietly.

"Well, my ears still work perfectly well, at the very least, if you ever want too."

She appreciated that.

"Were you like a prodigy when it came to chess or something, Papap?" Krissy asked as she glared down at the chess board. The early morning sun light bared down on the side of her face, which was what she decided to blame for her losing so badly.

She and Matvei had been playing chess together every morning for three months straight and she still wasn't any closer to beating him. Instead, she was much closer to him and was ordered to call him 'Papap' which was almost just as good.

"You can say I was. When I was a boy, I was the best in my Village and the next. I even got to go to the big city and play in a tournament." He seemed to smile at the fond memory.

Krissy smiled as well. "Sounds exciting."

"I was eight at the time and it was horrifying!" He disagreed. "Plus, I got the pants beat off me in the first round." Krissy bit back a laugh. He watched her try not to laugh with both of his thick eyebrows raised.
