"What? Cat got your tongue?" Dean wickedly smirks while still holding onto my skin so tightly that I'm sure will leave a mark.

I yank my arm out of his grasp and gently caress it with my other arm to try and ease the stinging pain.

"I have nothing to say to you, Dean," I manage to hiss out.

"I didn't think I'd ever see you again, Alexandra. Don't get me wrong, though. It's always a pleasure to see you."

"Can't say the same thing," I try my hardest to sound calm despite the anxiety running loose inside of my body.

Dean places a hand on his heart, "I'm hurt, Ally. We were besties."

"I never wanna see your face ever again, Dean. I mean it," my voice cracks a little as a few tears brim on the edges. I blink them away.

"Why don't you get out of here before you mess with the wrong people," Sophie intervenes and steps slightly behind me, grabbing my hand. Jace takes his stance on the other side of me.

"Ooh, Ally brought her posse. Anderson though? Really? You think he's gonna do anything? Come on, Ally. Don't surround yourself with the pussies now. We don't want you sticking around with the same type of people that you did a few years back, do we?"

His words and his mischievous grin are all it takes for me to take a few steps forwards until I'm barely inches away from him.

"Listen here, you piece of shit. I don't know who the fuck you think you are but you're overstepping. Talk shit about me, I don't care. But if I hear you talk like that about my friends again, old or new-"

He takes a step forward and grabs my arm again in the same place, however this time he squeezes it harder. "Or what?" he threatens with his mouth in a straight line.

My tears threaten to escape from the pain and the anger boiling inside of me, but I keep my emotions at bay, not wanting him to see me weak and vulnerable.

"You better take your hand off of her right now before I beat you to a fucking pulp, Parker," a different voice speaks from behind me and I almost cry of relief when I realize who it is.

James makes his way towards us and pushes Dean and he stumbles to the ground. James takes my hand and gives it a small squeeze before moving in front of me as he stares at Dean. Dean's features turn into an amused expression as he takes in the scene.

Dean gasps loudly. "Alexandra, is James your new fuck buddy? Who knew you moved on so fast," Dean laughs.

I suck in a breath, suppressing my emotions becoming much more of a challenge as the conversation continued. Why is Dean doing this? What does he still bave to prove?

"You're testing me, Parker. Say one more thing-"

"You know, Ally: I admire you a lot. You seem to pick some lovely fuck buddies. I'm quite impr-," Dean's disgusting comments are cut short as James' fist connects with Dean's jaw so hard that I hear something crack. He stumbles onto the floor again, this time much harder. Dean spits out some blood and stands up before shooting James a murderous glare.

"You fucking asshole! I'm gonna fucking kill you," Dean's eyes contort with rage as he strides over to us with his hand on his jaw, but his movements are quickly cut off by Smith and Jace as they grab ahold of either of his arms and hold him in place despite him trying to wrestle out of their grip.

"Calm down, buddy. We don't need to fight here. Let's all remain civilized before one of us gets expelled, yeah?" Smith suggests, still holding Dean firmly in place.

Dean stops fighting momentarily. He takes a few seconds to contemplate what Smith says, and as it registers, he sighs and thrashes out of the boys' grip, walking in the opposite direction to us.
