"Tell me what's going on Bri," he whispers, his breath warm against my neck.

He holds me close to his chest. I wished there was another way to tell him the truth, but there's no turning back. I wrestle myself out of his arms and tearfully say, "Mylo I don't think I'm good enough for you."

Briar Nolet has moved around the country for the last five years of her life. Now she's sixteen, and she's back in Toronto - her first home. Seeing the boy you used to know as someone else feels unfamiliar. The same boy she spent many afternoons over at his backyard in his treehouse playing the games they made up together. Now he's grown up to be a complete stranger to her.

He's a party boy, whereas she's not into parties.

She'd rather be curled up on the couch watching a movie at home.

He doesn't know she's back, yet.

When they start seeing each other in the hallways at school, things change.

He still cares for her, yet she can't see that in his actions.

The day she pulls away from him, he knows full well that she is enough for him.

But how will he find the words to tell her that?
