Two sides, two faces

Briar's POV
A continuous buzz sounded from my study desk. My screen flashed with a name. Mylo.

I wished I could tell him what's bothering me, but I can't. This is all too new. Knowing that someone was following us is freaking me out.
What do they want? More like what do they want from me?

The room becomes silent again, and all I hear are the thoughts swirling around in my mind.

~tomorrow morning~

As I entered through the side door of the school building, I spotted Kiara standing by a group of lockers. I'm surprised that she's alone. Usually she's surrounded by her group of friends. Her eyes were staring rather intently at her phone. It was almost as if she had been waiting for me.

I approached her anxiously. Kiara didn't lift her head until I asked, "Did you enjoy your stalk yesterday?"

"Sorry, what are you on about?"

"Quit pretending that you've got no idea what I'm taking about," I snapped.

Kiara's eyes widened in surprise. Then she tilted her head toward me, appearing thoughtful. "Stalking? I don't stalk people."

"Wait– "

"No. Out of all people, why are you asking me if I've been stalking you? Even if it was me, I wouldn't tell you. Do you have proof?" she raised an eyebrow skeptically.

Wow. She seems determined to prove me otherwise. I shook my head.

"Thought so," and she sauntered away.

Kiara's right. I can't go around accusing people without proof. At the same time, she disliked me from the moment we met and I don't know why. I have a feeling it's her, but I've got no evidence.

~yesterday afternoon~

Myles and I walked out to the parking lot. Most of the cars had already left. Apart from his car, there were two others. One navy coloured four wheel drive that was parked on the other side of the lot, and the other, a small white car that was located nearby.

Something was strange about the four wheel drive on the other side. Like someone was there, watching us. I caught a glimpse of a shadow in the front seat, but when I looked back, it had disappeared. It was probably nothing, I thought.

Yet I couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in my stomach.

Hey, I got in another update :))

I'm back at school now, so I'll try my best to get in updates when I can.

Enjoy your day, everyone <3
