"Tanjiro!", you shouted across the hallway visibly irritated.

I swear that boy is going to die

You stomped across the hallway and was in front of the doors, swiftly but harshly you opened the door and locked your eyes on a certain boy.

"U-uh h-hi y/n", he awkwardly said,"what's wrong?", he asked whilst fiddling with his haori.
You looked at him in disbelief.
"What do you mean what's wrong!?", you shouted and clenched your fists.
The poor boy just stared mindlessly at you blinking.

"Ugh! You idiot", with that you left the boy, who was still confused.

Timeskip

You were returning back from a mission with Giyu after a fight with an upper moon demon and felt quite drained.
"Hmm y/n", he asked looking towards the path.
"What?", you asked coldly.
"You know that umm boy?", he questioned," that Tanjiro boy".

"Yes. Why?", you bluntly replied.
He had his eyes closed and nodded," Do you hate him?".
You stopped in your tracks and so did he.
"Y/n?-".
"Shut up", you quietly but sharply said.
Giyu noticed you getting agitated and stopped questioning you.
"He's an idiot", you bluntly said," always going on about how he's going to turn his sister back into a human and seeking revenge", you chuckled," What a sad dream".
Giyu didn't respond and just listened to you, probably not wanting to anger you again.
Soon enough the two of you made it back to the house and most of the pillars were still out on missions.

You were known as the 'least favoured pillar' from the eyes of the public because of your harsh and blunt personality, but you didn't care and the other pillars accepted the way you were and didn't make a fuss about the way you acted.
Despite being the least favoured you were strong and a very hard working pillar, that's why the others don't mind you as they respected your efforts.
Honestly, you weren't that bad but your personality made you seem like a 'bad guy'.

"Harder.", you harshly said to Tanjiro who was training under you," Tanjiro, get up and do 100 more".
He was bathing in his own sweat and visibly exhausted.
"Y/n....I'm....really.....tired", he panted in between the breathes and wiped his forehead that was covered in sweat.
You glared at him," now".
The sweet boy did as you said and by the time he finished he was done.
"Good. Now let's continue to the next", you were turning your back against him when you heard a thud.
You quickly turned to see Tanjiro on the floor, fainted.
You sighed and picked him up and placed him on a futon.

How will you be able to defeat Muzan if you can't even handle a training like this?

You got angry at the thought not because you were angry at him being weak....but deep down inside you were worried about his safety.
One day he will fight Muzan and whether he wins or loses it was up to you to train him.
"Idiot, always saying selfless things and saving others when you can't even save yourself", you raised your voice a bit," idiot idiot idiot, if you really want to kill that bastard then try harder!", tears swelled up in your eyes," god dammit, I care for you even if I don't show it even if it seems like I despise you I truly care for you and I love you, and I know I won't get that love back because who would love a monster like me? The least favoured pillar.", at this point you were sobbing quietly until you felt a gentle hand on your shoulder.
You were surprised by the sudden contact and saw Tanjiro, smiling at you with such a tender expression.
"Y/n", he looked at you with happiness but also shock," I didn't know you felt this way about me".

You blushed but your ego got the best of you.
"Shut up you bastard!", you threw a pillow at him which he caught just before it hit his face.

Then he laughed.
A genuine laugh.
Such an addicting laugh he had.
Now you knew why you didn't want to be close to this boy.
He was just too good for you, his personality was much more attracting than yours and his smile was the purest form of an angel.

So handsome

You thought to yourself.
"Tanjiro", you said in a quiet voice.
"Yes?", he replied still smiling at you and touching your delicate hair.
"Pretend that didn't happen", you said sternly with your head down.
"Y/n?",he gave you a confused look," w-wait why?".
He gave you a pleading look that broke your heart but you knew you couldn't accept him.
"No Tanjiro", you looked straight at him with an intense stare," we can't", this made him more upset and he gave a sigh that was filled with disappointment.
"You know y/n...that I don't care if you're the least favoured or if people think ill of you", he held your hand gently and pushed them towards his chest," because I know that deep down inside you're an amazing women, a beautiful strong women",
You could feel the tears coming but you didn't want to let them out.

"It's ok...let it all out y/n", he reassured stroking your hands.
As soon as he spoke those words you bursted out sobbing and he hugged you tightly against his chest , whispering words of reassurance and encouragement to you.
You cried and cried and couldn't stop.
"Tanjiro", you sniffled.
"Yes?", he answered stroking your hair whilst you were still against him.
"I-I'm sorry", you quietly said," sorry for being such a bitch".
He stopped and looked down upon you and said," no it's fine I know that you were only doing that for the benefit of me and you", he gave you a peck on the forehead and held your hand tightly ," but I kinda like the way we are at the moment".

You blushed like crazy and looked away with your cheeks red, Tanjiro just laughed at how cute you were.
"You know I'm glad that I fainted," he laughed," look where it got me," he gave you a wink and another laugh.
You hit him gently on his arm embarrassed and still blushing.
"You idiot", you stated and rubbed his hair,"Tanjiro?".
"Hmm~", he answered.
"Can we restart?", you asked and he stood up in confusion.
"What I mean by that is...can we forget about the past and umm me you know being a pain towards you?", you fiddled with your hands anxiously and peered up to see his reaction.
At first he still didn't understand but then a huge grin covered his face.
"If that's what you want y/n, then it shall be done", he bowed down to you in a servant manner which made you giggle.
"Ok then let me introduce myself", he stood in front of you arms and legs straight.
"Huh?", you tilted your head.
"Come on you said you wanted to restart so let's go back to the beginning", he stated.
You then stood up and looked at him in the eyes.
"Hi! My name in Tanjiro Kamado it's nice to meet you", he let his hand out for a handshake.
You slightly smiled and responded," My name is y/n and I hope we'll get along well".

"I'm sure we will", Tanjiro exclaimed.
