It was evening and you were at the butterfly estate aiding a demon slayer member with their injuries. You enjoyed working there, it was peaceful and the scene from the rooftop was ethereal. Shinobu was also a close friend of yours so it made you feel like the estate was your second home, the other helpers here were also quite generous and friendly.

"And...done!", you patched up a wound and gave a thumbs up towards the person.
"T-thank you", they responded.
"No problem", they sat up and left saying bye.
You sighed and looked outside the window," Hmm it's a good day for a walk", you spoke to yourself and decided to go outside, but on the way a familiar yellow-haired boy appeared.
"Y/n chan~", he exclaimed and became giddy, running up to you and smiling.
"Zenitsu!", you greeted him and gave a warm smile, he blushed from the sight.
"You're so cute y/n!", he said face still red.
You giggled," thank you Zenitsu", you patted him on the shoulder," you're also not that bad yourself".

His eyes widened and smoke was coming out from his ears, face very very red and eyebrows furrowed.
"Y-y-y/n", he weakly whispered.
You tilted your head in confusion.
"Yes-?"
"Please marry me!", he held your hands, eyes glimmering.
"U-umm", you tried to answer," w-well I Umm".
He anticipated for your response like a puppy.
"N-no"
His face dropped completely and he started to become ready-eyed,"I should've known...I'm too much of a weakling, someone as perfect as you would never marry me!", he started to cry and plopped onto the floor.
You stood there shocked and guilty.

To be honest, you did like him. Actually you loved him but...you didn't know if he felt the exact same about you because he always flirts with other girls and asks them to marry him. You just didn't know whether he was genuine or not.

"N-no not like that!", you exclaimed panicking, he looked up towards you sniffling," I said no because we're too young!".
He grew a smile and stood up,"S-so that means you will marry me?", his eyes shone and lit up.
"Y-Yes"
He started to jump around and shouted," y/n is mine! Y/n is mine!", you blushed because of this and held his arm.
"Zenitsu be quiet", you quietly asked.
"Sure, anything for you!"
You smiled and looked away from embarrassment,
He noticed and thought it was cute.

"L-let's just go for a-a walk", you suggested, stuttering.
He nodded and held your hand.
The two of you walked for a while and sat under an ancient tree," Zenitsu sir here", you directed him to sit next to you and he obliged.
The both of you were sitting there in silence. However it wasn't awkward at all, it was more comforting.
"Hey Zenitsu", you softly called out.
"Yes?", he turned to face you.
"Do you actually like me?, you asked.
He looked at you in disbelief,"what do you mean? Obviously!".
"Well, it's just that I don't know if you truly love me because you're always flirting with other girls and asking them to marry you, especially Nezuko".
He turned your face towards his and gave a stern look," y/n, I like you, heck I love you so much you have no idea how long I wanted you to be mine", he looked into your eyes with such sincerity.
"T-thank you", you replied feeling relieved and a sense of security.
He chuckled," you're cute", he hugged you tightly and put his head on your lap.
"E-eh?"
"Shhh...I want to sleep on my girlfriend's lap".
You nodded and began to stroke his soft locks and sang a soft tune," I love you".

He fell asleep straight away and was mumbling in his sleep,"y-y/n...I love you...",
You chuckled and stared at him in awe.

You thought of all the moments you had with him and before we guys went out, it was pleasant the atmosphere. Very calm and just about the right warmth.
Suddenly, he got up but he didn't seem like himself.
"Zenitsu?", you asked," are you ok?"
He turned to,face you but his eyes were closed.
Confused you tried to reach out towards him but instead he held your arm gently and pushed you to the ground.
"What are you-"
You were cut off by his lips s,asking against yours.
This definitively wasn't the Zenitsu you were used to, he seemed to have changed.
He passionately kissed you and caressed your face, you kissed back and tugged his hair making him grunt and deepen the kiss. He was quite rough and wasn't going to stop.
He then slipped his tongue into your mouth and explored the new surroundings making you widen you eyes. Afterwards, he ends the heated kiss with a string of saliva hanging from his lips connecting with yours.

Like a thunder he changed immediately.
"W-what happened?", he stared at you and realized his position and the string of saliva ," IM SO SORRY Y/N I DIDN'T MEAN TO DO THAT, I SWEAR I WAS ASLEEP!", he was profusely apologizing which made you laugh.
"W-what?"
"Why are you so worried?", you asked teasingly.
"Because I kissed you!", he stated," and I wasn't even awake!"
"Oh Zenitsu...you're too pure", he looked at you with a blushed face.
"And I never knew you were like that y/n..."

"Well surprise surprise then", you stood up and tidied your uniform lending a hand towards him.
"Come let's get back before night falls"
He agreed and the both of you walked back with him clinging onto you (hugging).
