Yours and Sanemi's relationship was like a rollercoaster, you two had the loviest of times together but the arguments...are quite intense.

Today you and him had one of those rough days.

"What do you mean by that?", you asked sternly," you always say things like that".
"Why do you care so much?", he asked with annoyance.
You clicked your tongue," oh I'm sorry, can I not care about my fiancé?".
He sighed," it gets annoying that's all", he replied.
You become somewhat hurt by his words," so you're saying I'm annoying?"
"Ugh just stop bugging me!", he shouted.
"I just want to check on you and make sure you're fine!"
"I know! But just stop for some time being!", he shouted with veins popping from his forehead and eyes bulging.
You were hurt...very hurt. Bring trapped inside his estate wasn't really an entertaining way for you to go about your day to day life, you just wanted to check on him to spend time with him as it was worthwhile and not waste the whole day in the estate.

You had tears daring to fall down onto the ground, and hands clenched into fists with a hurtful yet angered look.
"I hate you".
You stated coldly and left him standing there.

You went to the butterfly estate to talk to Shinobu as she always was able to make you feel better when there were hard times like this.
"It's ok y/n, I'm sure he's just stressed that's all", she reassured and rubbed your back softly.
"I know...but I just miss him", you replied in a quiet voice," he's always gone to missions everyday and practices until late at night, we never have our own times where we can bond and tell each other how's our days been...we never do now. I miss those days when we had, it always made my day seem so much better..now it's just...bitter and lonely, I feel so lonely- and I don't want it to sound like I'm being selfish it's just that...I want him to at least show me some way of telling me that he still loves me and cares.", you wiped your eyes and runny nose.
Shinobu listened intently and seemed to understand." Y/n, it's going to be fine, trust me, after all these past few weeks have been pretty hectic for us demon slayers and getting all missions done is a stressful task. I'm pretty sure Sanemi also wants to be with you as well but he has to get his missions done and by doing that he has to practice.",
You nodded," yes I know...I understand, I just hope it will be over soon".

"Sanemi", you said sternly, he turned around.
"What is it y/n?", he asked with the same uninterested tone he had these past weeks.
"Let's just end this", you stated.
He stopped moving for a moment and chuckled a bit," y/n don't scare me like that".
"No Sanemi. I'm being serious, let's end this relationship".
His face turned from sadness to anger to confusion...he didn't know what to feel and how to feel about this.
"Y-y/n, you're not being serious right?", his eyes pleaded with all he had and he held your arms side to side firmly.
"Why would I be joking about this?"
His tears ran down his face," no no y/n, please don't leave...I'm sorry- I truly love you how can I prove this to you? I need you y/n...I don't know what to do without you here!", he sobbed and hugged you tightly.
Your heart ached...you hate seeing Sanemi distraught and truly want him to be happy but you feel your relationship with him isn't going anywhere but just becoming more distant and dead.

"Why? Did I do something?", he asked.
You stood there quietly for a moment.
"I just think our relationship isn't what it used to be... and it's obvious that it's not progressing after these couple of weeks we haven't done or spoken anything to each other and because of that I don't feel the same as I used to feel about you, I just think it's better for you and me",you explained.
"Y/n...", he weakly said.
"I'm sorry Sanemi Shinazugawa but I don't love you anymore".

Y/n? You know that I still love you...right?

He let his love walk away fro, him once again, leaving him alone. He hated it, he hated himself for not realizing sooner that you were unhappy, he wanted you to stay...with him because he loves you. But now he lost another person he loves and cherishes.
His one true love.

Disappear just like that.

He despises himself and often goes on a rage around his estate, thinking about you; your face, the way you used to look at him, your delicate touch and eyes. He misses it all and he won't forgive himself for what he had done. It was his lose.

Everyday he comes home and expects to see his beautiful fiancée in the garden but realizes she is not there anymore, her scent doesn't fill up the corridors anymore.
He often thinks about what if he did so,etching earlier then she would be still here with him.

Before he left his estate to go to a mission a peculiar figure was walking towards him.
He stared at them in confusion and suddenly it hit him," y/n?", he whispered under his breath.
He quickly ran towards you and stopped in front of you," yes?", you replied with a gentle voice.
Ah, that voice made him tremble all the time
"Why are you here?", he asked.
"I umm cam here bacause...", you became nervous," I want to restart things with you".
His eyes beamed with hope and smiled unconsciously.
"Obviously as friends though!", you exclaimed.
"Sure! I'm fine with that!", Sanemi quickly replied.
You smiled seemingly relieved," I thought you were going to shout at me and say how much you hate me".
"Why would I say that?"
"Because I left you"
He hugged you," I could never hate you that much...I love you too much"
You hugged back with a smile.

To reconcile is always the best way.
