That was what it felt like, enchanting.
The glistening night was decorated with gleaming beads of pearls in the night sky, and the music of nature played it's soft and sweet melody.
You enjoyed the moment of peace in this chaotic world, so much work but such little time to appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature.

It was every night that you would go to the rooftop of the headquarters's and admire the surroundings after a gruelling day of work.
"This is nice", you muttered to yourself.

You were a pillar, an unusual one as well.
Demon pillar they call you, why?
Well, it's because you are a demon but just like Nezuko you were able to suppress the hunger and kept your humanity, it was a miracle that you were even able to become part of the demon slayer corps.

"Y/n?"
You gave a sweet smile," Giyu, what are you doing here?", you questioned.
He shrugged.
You chuckled," come sit", you patted the space next to you.
He obliged and sat down," it's nice here", he stated whilst looking out into the open.
You hummed in response.
"You should join me often", you stated," it's relaxing".
"I guess so", he responded in a dull manner.
"Hey Giyu".
"Yes?"
"Are you ok?", you questioned with some worrisome in your eyes.
He slightly widened his eyes but instantly put on his usual stoic face,"yes, why?".

There was a moment of peaceful silence.

"It's just that...you seem off?", you replied," I mean you're generally a quiet person but you've been acting off lately...actually you've been gradually acting more off as the weeks pass by", you explained and gently held his hand.
"You can tell me anything and I'll listen", you stated.
He looked at you in shock for a brief moment and let go of your hand," no, I'm fine", he stated in a monotonous tone.

You slightly furrowed your eyebrows," Giyu", you sternly said," are you fine?".
He sighed.
"Yes y/n"
"No you're not", you replied.
"No I'm fine"
"Giyu, I'm not stupid"

Silence again.

"I have to go", the dark haired male stated.
"Giy-"
He disappeared when you tried to grab his hand.

I hope he is truly fine.

TIMESKIP

It was the next day and the rays of morning gently patted against your skin, giving a warm welcome.
"It's another good day", you stated.

"Good day y/n!", Tanjiro exclaimed.
You waved at him and ruffled his hair," you've grown taller than before Tanjiro!", you exclaimed.
"O-oh really?!", he replied with a light blush," t-thank you y/n".
You chuckled," there's no need to thank me".
"Ah, right...I've got training to do", he replied in a blushing mess, but before the poor boy could leave you stopped him.
"Have you seen Giyu?", you asked.
"Yes, he's at his estate", Tanjiro answered.
"Thank you"
"No problem y/n!", he exclaimed before leaving.

I'm going to check up on him.

You walked all the way to the water pillar's estate, it was fairly big and had a majestic pond that surrounded it, like a river.
You admired the place and knocked on his door,"Giyu,it's me y/n!", you exclaimed,"I came to check on you!".

No response.

"Giyu, I know you're in there!"
You decided to open the door and let yourself in.

Where was his room again?

You walked through hallways and stumbled upon one door that seemed familiar.

This must be his!

"Giyu are you-", you opened the door but was shocked to see the water pillar on the floor, curled up and...crying?

"Giyu!", you ran up beside him and hugged him," what happened?", you asked.
"Y-y/n?"
"Are you ok? What happened?", you cupped his face and wiped the tears.
"Why are you here y/n?", he asked weakly.
"I came by because I was worried for you", you stated," come and get up".
You helped him stand up and sit on his bed.
"Are you ok?", you asked whilst rubbing his back.

"Y/n"
"Yes?"
"I need to tell you something"
"Yes, what is it?"
"I-I don't know how to explain it", he stated.
"Giyu, it's fine", you reassured him and have a gentle smile.
"I...I feel so lonely...", he weakly said," it's like everyday is a pain...I don't know what to do and it's gruelling to do day by day tasks..."
You felt sorry for him and hugged him.
"I-I just miss them so much...Sabito, Makomo and Tsutako", he continued," I feel like it was my fault that they're dead", he sobbed uncontrollably.
"Giyu...", your chest felt a sharp pain,"no Giyu"
"No what y/n?", he questioned," I was responsible for their deaths, if I weren't weak the-"

You hushed Giyu by covering his mouth,"it wasn't your fault and nor were you weak...Giyu, trust me when I say this...they are proud of you", you looked starlight into his eyes with confidence," Yes they died but it was to save a friend, we all would do the same for a beloved friend...they would want you to flourish and have faith in yourself, their deaths weren't in vain Giyu because look at you now, you're a pillar".

He sniffled," I don't know y/n".
"Its ok to feel like this Giyu just don't hide it, tell someone and they'll help you to heal", you softly smiled at him," That's why I'm here"

He widened his eyes,"y/n...", he suddenly hugged you,"t-thank you".
You hugged him back,"anytime Giyu I will always be here for you", you stated.

"How can I heal though?", he asked," it was my fault".
"That's the problem", you stated.
He slightly turned his head in confusion.
"The way you're thinking is the problem", you answered," you need to change the way you think and to see from a different light", you explained.
"Yes, it may take a couple of weeks or even months, but no matter how long it will take I will be there to help you along the way".

Giyu slightly smiled," thank you y/n".
