Chapter 9

~~~~~~~~~~Dani~~~~~~~~~~
I watch waiting for about 10 minutes before I decide it is safe to move again. I sniff around slowly and then turn heading towards the packlands of the Moon Seekers. I wasn't one of them. In fact I was from the Light Bringers. But, my Alpha had specifically instructed me to infiltrate this certain pack. Of course I had agreed to it. He was my Alpha. What was I supposed to say? No?
I continued walking as I felt something in my mind. It was grief. Pain, sadness, and depression had overwhelmed me for the past five days. I honestly didn't even know why. I had felt completely fine and knew of nothing that I should be grieving about, but for some odd reason I still grieved.
I felt Blaire stirring restlessly inside of me. She obviously wasn't happy that I had made her run. That I had made her hide. In fact she hated the fact that I had made her do both. But, something in the wolf's eyes had made me scared. It was the hunger and want. Blaire wanted to run back and throw herself onto the wolf, but I kept her restrained. It became more and more easier the father away we got from Light Bringer lands.
Finally I shifted back into a human looking around. The streets were empty here, but the clubs definitely weren't. I could hear music blasting from over three miles away. I headed towards the door. The bouncer just glanced at me letting my by. He had seen me a lot over the past months. I had become what was known as the 'Owner's Bitch.'
Everyone thought I was sleeping with him. Even his own beta thought I was doing him. But, I would never disgrace myself in such a way. In fact I was still a virgin and extremely proud of the fact. I headed towards the bar, but before I could make it that far I felt arms snake around my waist. At first I thought it was Zander, the owner, but it wasn't. It was someone else. Someone I didn't know. He reeked of alcohol and before I could say anything he put a hand over my mouth.
This irritated me and I could feel Blaire itching to come out. I couldn't let her all the way out. Not with so many human here, but why couldn't i just bite him. And, bite him I did. My canines slid out slowly. He pushed through a door and right as he did I saw Zander. He was pushing through the crowd towards the door we had just went through. Now I couldn't bite the guy. I felt bad for him a little. Zander had seen him.
The man pushed through two more doors before throwing me onto the ground. His eyes were wild and he smiled saying "What you aren't gonna fight back? I thought you would be tougher than this..." He started towards me, but the door flew open flying off its hinges. Zander ferocious growl echoed through the halls and rooms all around us.
I looked up at the guy and asked "Why fight back when I don't need too?"
The guy gave me an angry glare and said "You little bitch!!!" He turned back to Zander though. He was obviously pissed. In his eyes we were mates. Though I knew that wasn't true.
Zander was in front of the man before he could say another word and grabbed him by the throat growling in his face. Then they were both wolves. I scrambled backwards letting Blaire free as she snarled hiding behind a cabinet to keep from getting hurt. Zander was biting and clawing pulling out clumps of fur and biting at sensitive areas letting blood pour out onto the ceramic tiled floor.
After Zander had finished punishing him, the man was bleeding horribly and ran off through the hallways towards one of the back doors. I watched him then looked up at Zander. His medium length, black hair covered his right eye now as he looked at me. The stubble on his face had grown longer since I had last seen him. His dark gray eyes held me captive. I was too scared to move.
Finally I turned back into a regular human and said softly "Hey Zander..."
His anger was obvious when he said "Where have you been!? I thought the Light's had tried to take you back. I couldn't get in touch with you. No one had seen you all day except at school!"
