"Rylee." I heard my name being whispered. It was faint but it was enough to wake me. Hoping it was just part of my dream, I rolled over and attempted to fall back asleep.

"Rylee." A few minutes later, I heard the whisper again only it was slightly louder. I sat up in bed and turned on the lamp that sat on the bedside table. I glanced around my room to find no source of the whispers. So, I decided to ignore it and turn the light off again and go to sleep.

After about a half hour of silence, I was finally able to relax and fall back into a deep sleep.

"Rylee." That time it wasn't a whisper and it was right next to my ear. I jolted awake; I knew for a fact that I lived alone

I looked at the time. The bright green numbers of my alarm clock showed, 3:30 am. My parents were definitely not awake at this time but I still have a key to their house.

Mom and dad's bed is always the safest when you're scared right?
