Day 31: Trapped

Standing in front of the mirror in my bedroom, I gazed at myself all dressed up for the date I have tonight.

My hair was in long, tight curls, draping over my shoulders. I don't usually put on a lot of makeup but tonight was special so I did a full glam look.

He told me to dress up nicely since the place he's taking me is going to be fancy. So, I put on the red, sparkly dress that I wore to prom during my junior year of high school a few years ago. I'm surprised I was still able to fit it after all these years.

The dress rested just above my knees and the sleeves came down to above my elbows. The neckline of the dress rested just off my shoulders and to tie off the whole outfit, I wore the golden necklace my father gave to me before he passed away.

Who is the lucky boy you may ask? His name is Tristan, he and I have been dating ever since our senior year of high school, so I guess we classify as high school sweethearts.

This night must be super special since Tristan likes cheap dates and doesn't always want to spend a ton of money.

I stared at myself a little longer, the feeling of butterflies in my stomach become apparent. I haven't been this nervous since my first ever date with Tristan.

As go to turn away from the mirror, I spot my reflection suddenly smile back at me. She then twirls on her heel and walks out the reflected door of my bedroom.

Slightly panicked, I hurried to open the bedroom door, only to be met by endless darkness.

I'm trapped and my reflection is stealing my special night.
