"Hi there girly." I smile and greet my cat, Mimi, as she enters the room. I'm sitting on the couch watching tv, relaxing after a long day of work. I pat the couch next to me, "Do you want to watch some Sugar Rush with me? I know you like cake."
Mimi sits down at my feet just to my right and stares up at me with her bright blue eyes. Mimi always stares at me, it's weird and sometimes makes me feel a little uncomfortable but I just try to ignore it and mind my own business. Eventually she'll wonder off or lay down.
I pat the couch again. "Mimi, are you gonna come up here, girl?" She lets out a soft meow while she continues to stare at me. "Alright, suit yourself." I turn my attention back to the show I'm watching and leave Mimi to continue staring.
A few minutes later, I lean over to reach for the volume remote which is lying on the coffee table in front of me. That's when I notice Mimi, who's still staring, didn't turn her head like she would've if she was truly fixated on me. Instead she just moves her eyes back and forth as if she's keeping her eyes locked on whatever's dancing around behind me.
