Bee's POV
"You really want me to take your Tesla?" I asked. "You never let me drive your Tesla."
"We're engaged, Bee," Neil put the key in my hand. "I trust you with my things. Besides, I don't care about the material things as long as you're okay." I looked at him. "The car is replaceable. You aren't."
"Thanks, Neil," I smiled.
"You're welcome," Neil smiled. "Only if you come back for me when my shift ends."
"Yeah," I replied. I got up and hugged him. "I'll see you when you get off." Luke and I walked out to the car. We got in and went to the police station. We went to the conference too. "Hey."
"Did you guys walk here?" Prentiss asked.
"No," I nodded. "Neil let us borrow his car."
"You gotta pick him up after?" Prentiss asked. I nodded. "Okay. Whenever that is, just make sure you're in a good place to slip out, okay?"
"He knows," I replied. "He knows he might have to wait a few minutes after his shift." We gave a profile and then immediately received a call from a mother who just had her baby taken from her. "He's hitting in broad daylight."
"Let's go," Prentiss nodded. "Not you, Luke."
"Sorry," I shrugged. I rode with Matt and we were the first to arrive on scene. A lady ran out of her house and up to us as I put on my vest. "Ma'am, which way did he go?"
"That way," she pointed.
"Is he on foot or in a vehicle?" Matt asked.
"He's on foot," she cried as Prentiss pulled up. "Please get my baby boy back."
"Go," Prentiss pointed. "I'll stay."
"Matt, take the car!" I called as I started in the direction the lady told me he went. Matt drive down the road, but I heard clattering in an alleyway as I passed by. I withdrew my gun and slowly made my way into the alley. Before I knew it I was shoved into the wall and I dropped my gun. The guy gave me one good blow to my stomach and knocked the wind out of me. I regained my strength and through a right hook, but he dodged it. "You're gonna have to do better than that."
"You ain't got your gun," he smiled. He looked at me. "Ohh, even better! I'm getting into it with the real live power ranger."
"This power ranger has a lot of power building up in her," I nodded. He threw a punch towards me. I ducked and he ended up punching the wall. I switch my legs under him and he fell to the ground with the third. I flipped him onto his front side, and handcuffed him. I hosted my gun. "That's what you get for underestimating a girl power ranger." Matt pulled into the alley. "I maybe a girl, who is an actress, but we train for this stuff." Fredericksburg office is pulled up and put them in his car. Matt walked up to me. "Nice of you to show up."
"Well, I can't hear anything when my windows are rolled up and I'm looking for a dude running with an infant," Matt replied. "Speaking of which, where is the baby?"
"He slammed me right around here," I pointed. "Check near those trash bags over there, he might have laid the baby down there."
"I got it," Matt stated as he picked up the baby. "He's okay. He's unharmed."
"Let's get him back to his mother," I nodded. I held the baby as Matt drove us back to the house. Prentiss was still outside with the woman as I got out of the car. She ran up to me and I handed her her baby. "He's okay."
"Thank you," she smiled hugging him close. "Are you a mother?"
"I am," I replied. "I can't imagine what you're feeling other than relief and happiness to have your baby back, but I'm sure that's nothing compared to when you found out he was taken." I looked at her. "I would have been devastated if my baby girl was taken from me. But just know that we are our children's hero. Love him and always keep an eye on him. Because he'll need you in the future."
