The failed presentation of the syrup

The next day Murdock was excited to present his success to his employers at the military covert organization. He was so excited that he said "hello" to almost everyone he walked by. He was still in the parking lot walking towards the entrance to the facility when Maria drove in. He immediately changed direction and went to meet her. Maria also seemed very excited about the success and as well as their sexual experience the previous night. She was glowing like the sun in the fullness of its capacity. “Hi Beautiful,” Murdock said as he got closer to Maria.
“Hello Handsome,” Maria replied looking radiant and joyful.
Her smile was so bright, Murdock gave her a big hug as she stepped out of the car. “ You look so beautiful,” he said.
Her smile increased immensely
“Thank you. ”
“Last night was great, it's one of the best nights I have had in a long time. ” Murdock said.
Maria still smiling replied, “Me too, it's been so long since I felt that good, thank you,” she said.
Murdock smiled and asked, “ Are you ready for today?”
Maria Nodded and they both walked into the facility. All of the board of directors were already waiting in the conference room. Murdock and Maria met the spokesman, that Murdock now knows as Salvador. At the hallway of the lab,
“Hello! Dr Murdock, Hello! Dr Maria,” Salvador spoke excitedly.
“ Hello!!,” Murdock and Maria replied in unison.
“So everything is set huh?,” Salvador asked as they continued to walk.
“Yes everything is set, we made a major breakthrough and we are ready for the first human trial,” Murdock replied.
“Oh that's awesome,” Salvador exclaimed excitedly as they walked into the lab.
To their greatest surprise and displeasure, as soon as they got into the lab, they found the Gorilla that was injected last night with the syrup dead. It was a big shock to both Murdock and Maria.
“Oh no!!, what the hell happened?” Maria cried out.
Murdock quickly rushed to check the Gorilla and see if he was still alive. He was disappointed to find out the Gorilla was indeed dead.
“How could this happen? He was doing perfectly fine last night. His vitals where perfect. weren't they Maria?” Murdock asked.
“Yes, everything was perfectly okay,” Maria replied.
“So what in the hell could’ve happened?” he asked.
Filled with so much confusion, Maria replied, “ I'm just as surprised as you are, we should run an autopsy to find out the cause of Death. That will tell us if it was caused by the syrup or something else.”
They were all confused and wondering what had happened.
“Well the board of directors are not going to be pleased to hear excuses, do whatever you gotta do to make this right okay. For now, I'm gonna find a way to stall them and buy you time to figure this out. You have only three days to get the syrup to work, they are already becoming impatient. Make this work within three days, no excuses. ” Salvador said as he walked out of the lab.
