With joined hands, I raised my free hand up and knocked on the glass door.

"Come in!"

I took one last deep breath before pushing the door open.

The cold air of the air conditioning hit my face and made me shiver. As if it wasn't enough I was slightly shaking out of the nervousness, now it was because of the cold as well. Lisa's hand that was no longer holding mine also deprived me of some warmth I felt before.

None of us were holding hands anymore since we didn't think it would be the best if we marched in like the lesbian cult. Not that Lisa was too far from it with that outfit she planned on wearing.

The office hasn't changed a bit with the new CEO. The walls were still tiled with dark marble, cooling the space around us further. The huge windows behind the desk were still covered with the blinds that I hated. They never seemed to let any sunlight through, giving the office a dark, scary vibe.

I always liked well-lit places. I liked those big windows that were covering the wall from the floor to the ceiling, letting in as much sunlight as possible. I loved to just sit in front of them and look out, I often did it in my room when I needed time to myself or to sort out the thoughts running around my mind.

There was no sunlight filling the office though, 'Why do all the CEOs like the dark so much? Are they vampires or something?'.

We stood in front of her desk, waiting patiently for her to address us in any way. I looked around some more, trying to spot any possible changes but to no avail. Still the same old black leather couch and an armchair in the corner. Still the same glass coffee table with a few magazines on top. Not even the painting on the wall has changed. CEOs were so weird, all liked the dark and cool places with minimal decorations. Maybe they were reptiles or something. Like that weird lizard doctor in that one Spider-man movie.

Oh my gosh, what if she was an evil lizard CEO who was planning on eating us or something. We would be so screwed. Damn you Seoul, why don't you have a damn Spider-man?! Tom Holland are you slacking off?! That was probably what Lisa was thinking right about now, she was just weird like that.

"Girls," she has finally addressed us and I turned my attention to the middle-aged woman standing behind the desk with a friendly smile, "it's a pleasure to meet you"

We bowed and greeted her respectfully. I honestly had no idea what we would talk about for the first few minutes. We couldn't just tell her straight away and I for once had no idea what to say or what to do. I didn't know about the other girls but my brain wasn't functioning properly, enough to form a coherent sentence that would make sense and would be appropriate in this situation.

She extended her hand and all of us shook it while introducing ourselves although I'm sure she already knew all of our names.

'Hwang sajang-nim huh?'

She led us to the sitting area with the leather couch I was looking at earlier and I sat at the far end of it. Lisa sat down gingerly next to me and so did the unnies. The older woman sat in the armchair in front of us and crossed one leg over the other and I felt as if we were being scrutinized under her intense gaze. It wasn't unfriendly or anything, I just felt a little uncomfortable when her eyes bored into us.

It was probably just the nervousness I felt that made it seem like she looked at us for forever. I just really wanted to get out of the room as soon as possible, no matter what the outcome would be. I just wanted it to be over already.

"Would you like anything to drink?" she asked us with a smile that made the atmosphere a little less heavy. All of us settled for water and so did she. In no time the assistant's knock was heard before she entered the office with a tray on which was placed a jug full of water with lemon and five glasses, one for each of us. She set it down on the coffee table that was situated between us, poured each of us a glass and walked out with the clicking sound of her heels receding.
