"Travis come on man-"

"Carson I already told you, I have stuff to do tonight. I have to get this painting done before Monday."

"Do you haaaaave to though?"

And on the other side of the school, Charlie was dealing with the same exact thing.

"Cooper I promise it'll be fun. I know you're busy tomorrow, but you'll like it."

"Dude I have practice early as fuck in the morning and I hate bowling."

But both Charlie and Carson knew only one thing needed to be said to make them instantly change their mind.

"You know, Cooper's going to be there."

"Well that's fine I guess. It's not too big anyways, just Travis, Carson, and I."

And then just like that, both of their heads turned and their eyes lit up. Almost as if you gave them a present they had always been hoping for.

"Wait... Cooper will be there? Well I'm sure skipping a painting night won't hurt too much.."

"Travis??? I guess I'll be able to go."

And with that, it was settled. They all made their way down the hall and either to their classes or to their lunch period. Travis went to his photography class and Cooper headed to lunch. Though they were doing completely different things, they had the exact same thought.

"I'm finally going to be able to see him...?"

Cooper met up with Charlie in the hall, as they earlier agreed upon.

"So, did Travis agree?"

"Yep. He didn't want to until I brought up Cooper."

"Same with Cooper. I brought up Travis and it's almost like his other plans dissolved."

"Ah alright good, well I have to go get Travis before he baby rages and just ends up walking home because I'm 'taking too long' so have fun with Cooper."

"Have fun with Trav, babe."

"Shut the fuck up Charlie."

And with that Carson rushed down the hall to find Travis, and to his surprise Travis was just standing there at his art class patiently.

The whole time he was staring at his shoes and twiddling his thumbs. He didn't know why, but he was extremely nervous about meeting Cooper. In the midst of Travis' nervousness, Carson signaled for him to follow so they could leave. Travis grabbed his bag and canvas off of the ground before walking with Carson to the car.

The two got in the car and put their stuff in the back like they usually did, but today it was off. Travis was usually all bubbly and cheery, but today he was dead silent.

The silence lasted for quite a while until Carson finally decided to speak up.

"Hey Trav, is everything okay?"

"Yeah man.. Don't worry."

If there's one thing Travis did best, it was hide his feelings. He was the fun, happy, therapist friend, and those friends don't have feelings. Unfortunately Travis did, but so he didn't ruin his reputation as the therapist friend, so he just hid everything. Carson knew this pretty well considering they had been friends for quite a long time. At that point hiding anything or lying to Carson simply wasn't an option.
